Why Join Gain hands-on exposure to credit risk analysis within Global Transaction Banking at OCBC. As a GFI Credit Analyst Intern, you’ll support the assessment of financial institutions (FIs) and non-bank financial institutions (NBFIs), helping the bank manage risk while supporting business growth. This internship offers a strong foundation in financial analysis, credit processes, and rating models, while giving you insight into how efficiency and control are embedded into credit workflows.

How You Succeed You’ll succeed in this role if you’re curious about financial institutions, comfortable working with financial statements, and keen to understand how credit decisions are made. You’re analytical, organised, and proactive in gathering information and working with stakeholders. Your ability to learn structured credit frameworks and identify opportunities for process improvement will help you add value to the team.

What You Do Your responsibilities will include:

  • Research & Information Gathering: Conduct research using internal systems, commercial databases, and public sources
  • Financial Analysis: Perform financial spreading and basic analysis of NBFIs and other counterparties
  • Credit Process Support: Support credit analysis activities and gain exposure to how rating models are applied
  • Stakeholder Coordination: Liaise with internal stakeholders to obtain updated and relevant information
  • Project & Initiative Support: Assist in GFI initiatives such as rating model enhancements, system migrations, or process reviews

Who You Work With The GFI Credit team supports the Global Financial Institutions business by performing credit assessments and risk analysis across a range of counterparties. You’ll work with experienced credit professionals and partner closely with relationship managers, risk teams, and project stakeholders to support sound credit decisions within a collaborative environment.

Who You Are

  • Currently pursuing an undergraduate degree
  • Keen interest in finance, credit analysis, or banking
  • Familiar with basic financial concepts and reading financial statements
  • Analytical, detail-oriented, and organised
  • Comfortable working with data and multiple information sources
  • Willing to learn and work collaboratively
