Job description

Purpose

The HR Manager Netherlands is the senior Human Resources leader for Hotraco and a member of the Speria Hotraco Management Team. This is an onsite role 5 days a week due to business requirements.

The role leads all local Human Resources activities and serves as a trusted advisor to the Managing Director and leadership team. The role is responsible for employee relations, labor relations, people operations, compliance and employee engagement while ensuring alignment with the Controllers Business Line and global People & Culture strategy.

The role acts as the key link between the local organization, Business Line leadership and global functions.

Reporting Structure

  • Functional reporting line: People Director, Controllers
  • Business reporting line: Managing Director, Hotraco
  • Direct reports: Local People & Culture team

Key Responsibilities

Leadership Team Partnership

  • Member of the Hotraco Management Team.
  • Partner with the Managing Director and leadership team on people and organizational matters.
  • Support workforce planning and organizational effectiveness.
  • Contribute to local business planning and strategic discussions.
  • Provide insights on workforce risks and opportunities.
  • Support leaders through change management activities and communication planning.

Leadership of the P&C Function

  • Lead and develop the local P&C team.
  • Ensure high-quality delivery of local People & Culture services.
  • Build strong collaboration with the broader P&C organization.
  • Drive continuous improvement and operational excellence.

Employee & Labor Relations

  • Lead employee relations activities across the site.
  • Manage relationships with Works Councils, unions and employee representatives.
  • Support consultations, negotiations and organizational changes.
  • Ensure fair and consistent application of company policies.
  • Proactively identify and manage employee relations risks.

People Operations

  • Oversee onboarding, employee lifecycle and offboarding processes.
  • Ensure accurate payroll and benefits administration.
  • Ensure compliance with Dutch labor legislation and company policies.
  • Maintain employee records and documentation.
  • Support employee wellbeing and engagement initiatives.

Matrix & Stakeholder Management

  • Collaborate with Business Line leadership, Business Partners and global functions.
  • Support implementation of global and Business Line initiatives.
  • Balance local business priorities with broader organizational objectives.
  • Build strong relationships across multiple stakeholder groups.

Experience & Qualifications

Required

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in HR, Business Administration or related field.
  • 7+ years of progressive HR/P&C experience.
  • Experience supporting manufacturing, assembly, industrial or operational environments.
  • Experience leading HR/P&C teams.
  • Strong knowledge of Dutch labor law.
  • Experience working with Works Councils and unions (collective labor agreements).
  • Experience partnering with senior leaders and management teams.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience working in international and global matrix organizations.
  • Fluent Dutch and English.

Preferred

  • Experience supporting organizational change and transformation, and business integrations.
  • Experience in a multi-site or international manufacturing environment.
  • Experience supporting both blue-collar and white-collar employee populations.
