Job Description The Head of IT/Senior IT Business Partner is responsible for delivering high-quality, hands-on IT support services to users across the Benelux and France Eurofins Forensic Services locations.

The role ensures end user computing, laboratory IT equipment, and site-based technology operate reliably, securely, and in line with operational and compliance requirements.

In addition to day to day support activities, the role contributes to IT projects by supporting:

  • Site-based deployments
  • Technology refresh programmes and upgrades
  • Operational change initiatives

You will be working closely with the Lead IT Field Support Engineer, different Infrastructure teams, and project stakeholders.

As a Head of IT/Senior IT Business Partner you will plan, prioritize and help ensure projects are delivered smoothly with minimal disruption to forensic operations.

Through professional service delivery, adherence to standards, and a customer focused approach, this role supports stable forensic operations and the successful adoption of new and improved IT services.

What you will be doing, but not limited to;

Field Support & End‑User Services

  • Provide on‑site IT support for desktops, laptops, peripherals, and specialist laboratory devices.
  • Resolve incidents and service requests efficiently in line with agreed SLA's.
  • Install, configure, maintain, and replace IT hardware and software.
  • Support user account setup, access requests, and device onboarding.

Incident & Request Management

  • Diagnose and troubleshoot technical issues across hardware, software, and connectivity.
  • Escalate complex or unresolved issues to the Lead IT Field Support Engineer or Infrastructure teams as appropriate.
  • Support Priority 1 and Priority 2 incidents when required, including out‑of‑hours support where agreed.

Site & Operational Support

  • Provide IT support for forensic laboratories, ensuring minimal disruption to operational activities.
  • Assist with IT rollouts, refresh programmes, and site‑based changes.
  • Support basic network tasks at site level (patching, connectivity checks, device swaps).

SOP & Knowledge Contribution

  • Follow documented SOP's and standard working practices.
  • Contribute to Knowledge Base articles and documentation to support service improvement and consistency.
  • Maintain accurate records of work carried out through ticketing and asset systems.

Asset & Compliance Management

  • Manage IT assets throughout their lifecycle, including deployment, tracking, and disposal.
  • Ensure adherence to Eurofins security policies, data protection, and compliance requirements.
  • Support audit activities where required, including evidence gathering and validation.

Customer & Stakeholder Engagement

  • Deliver a professional, customer‑focused service to laboratory staff and business users.
  • Communicate clearly with users regarding progress, resolution, and next steps.
  • Build positive working relationships with site staff and IT colleagues.

On Call & Out of Hours Support

  • Participate in the IT Infrastructure on call rotation, providing out of hours and emergency on site or remote support as required to maintain service continuity and meet Priority 1 and Priority 2 incident response targets.

Qualifications What we think is needed to be successful in this role:

  • 10+ years of experience in an IT Field Service, Desktop Support, or similar end user support role. Preferably 3+ years of experience as a IT Business Partner.
  • Strong working knowledge of:
