Scientist – Cross-Cutting (Plant Transformation & Metabolic Engineering)

Role Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated, organized, and collaborative Scientist for a unique, cross-cutting role within our R&D division. The primary focus of this role is to drive advancements in plant transformation and metabolite editing , while simultaneously serving as a key pillar for internal documentation, cross-functional alignment, and high-impact scientific writing. The ideal candidate will possess a strong blend of technical expertise, exceptional organizational skills, and a team-first mindset.

Key Responsibilities

• Advanced Research & Innovation: Lead and optimize protocols for plant transformation, tissue culture, and gene editing to precisely modify targeted plant metabolite profiles.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Act as a strategic "cross-cutting" scientific liaison across molecular biology, tissue culture, and analytical chemistry teams to streamline workflows and maximize scientific output.
• Scientific Writing & Communication: Draft, review, and finalize high-quality peer-reviewed papers, patent applications, and project proposals to present our innovations to the wider scientific community.
• Quality & Standards: Establish and elevate rigorous internal scientific standards, ensuring experimental designs are robust, reproducible, and cutting-edge.
• Internal Documentation: Take ownership of detailed internal documentation, maintaining flawless standard operating procedures (SOPs) and data repositories to ensure seamless knowledge transfer across the organization.

Qualifications & Experience

• Education: Ph.D. in Plant Biochemistry, Plant Biotechnology, Molecular Biology, or a closely related field.
• Experience: A proven track record with either Postdoctoral research or industry experience in a relevant agricultural biotech setting.
• Technical Expertise:
• Hands-on expertise in plant tissue culture and transformation systems.
• Deep understanding of molecular biology tools, novel editing technologies, and plant secondary metabolic pathways.
• Demonstrated success in writing and publishing high-impact scientific papers.
