The In Vitro ADME group within the Pharmacokinetic Sciences (PKS) department provides the characterization of the absorption, distribution, metabolism, and excretion (ADME) properties using in vitro assays such as cellular permeability and metabolic stability providing critical support to discovery project teams in selecting the optimal compounds for clinical development.

For this role, the In Vitro ADME team is seeking a team-oriented Scientist having hands-on experience in cell biology with emphasis on in vitro ADME assays. In addition, experience with bioanalytical methods including LC/MS is desirable. In this role you will support in vitro ADME running cellular-based assays, partially using lab-automation systems.

Requirements:

  • Apprenticeship, BS or MS in biology, biochemistry, analytical chemistry or related disciplines.
  • Proficiency in performing cellular-based in vitro assays incl. routine cell culture techniques such as cell seeding and cultivating cell lines
  • A good understanding of laboratory equipment (particularly LC/MS) and associated software.
  • Experience with lab automation is desirable.
  • Demonstration of strong experimental and problem-solving skills, excellent collaboration and communication skills (both written and oral), eagerness to learn, and excellent time management skills are favored.
  • The ability to work in a team-based drug discovery/development environment is essential.
