Resident Engineer

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Resident Engineer to oversee project execution on-site, ensuring that all construction activities are carried out in accordance with approved designs and project schedules. The successful candidate will provide technical leadership, coordinate with stakeholders, and ensure the successful delivery of projects while maintaining the highest standards of safety and quality.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and monitor all on-site construction activities to ensure compliance with approved drawings, specifications, and contract requirements.
• Coordinate with clients, contractors, consultants, and project stakeholders to ensure smooth project execution.
• Review and approve contractor submissions, shop drawings, method statements, and material approvals.
• Monitor project progress, identify potential issues, and implement corrective actions to maintain project schedules.
• Ensure compliance with quality assurance and quality control requirements.
• Conduct site inspections and prepare progress reports, technical reports, and project documentation.
• Review and certify contractor work, measurements, and payment applications.
• Coordinate design activities by reviewing technical drawings and ensuring alignment between civil, architectural, and MEP disciplines.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
• Participate in project meetings and provide timely progress updates.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Architectural Engineering, or related fields.
• +15 years of experience in construction supervision, project management, or engineering consultancy.
• Hold a membership with the Saudi Council of Engineers (SCE) .
• Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Proficiency in engineering software and Microsoft Office applications.
• Familiarity with Saudi regulations and international engineering standards.
• Experience working with engineering consultancy firms is preferred.
• Professional certifications in Project Management, Construction Management, or related fields are an advantage.
