Company Description Robot Academy | أكاديمية الروبوت is a specialized training center founded in 2017 by artificial intelligence professor Dr. Saud Almuhaidib. The academy provides high-quality robotics and artificial intelligence courses for learners aged 6 to 18, with a strong focus on practical, hands-on learning. Its vision is to help technology users become innovators, and its mission is to empower trainees to use the latest tools in robotics design and programming. Programs are designed to meet standards comparable to university-level education while remaining engaging and age-appropriate. Guided practice, creative problem-solving, and skilled trainers are at the core of the learning experience.
Role Description The LEGO Robot Trainer is a full-time, on-site role based in Al Khobar. In this position, you will plan and deliver engaging LEGO robotics classes for children and teens, using structured curricula and hands-on activities. You will guide trainees in building and programming LEGO robots, explain core STEM and AI concepts in an age-appropriate way, and supervise safe and collaborative classroom environments. Daily responsibilities include preparing lesson materials, setting up and organizing robotics kits, monitoring trainee progress, and providing individualized support where needed. You will also contribute to improving course content, collaborate with other trainers, and communicate with coordinators and caregivers about trainee performance and achievements.
Qualifications
- Experience working with children or teens in an educational, training, or mentoring setting, with the ability to manage a classroom and create an inclusive, supportive environment.
- Practical experience with LEGO robotics platforms (e.g., LEGO MINDSTORMS, SPIKE Prime, or similar) and basic programming concepts such as sequences, loops, and sensors.
- Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly in English; Arabic communication skills are an advantage.
- Background in STEM fields such as robotics, computer science, engineering, or related disciplines; a relevant diploma or bachelor’s degree is preferred.
- Ability to develop lesson plans, adapt instruction to different age groups and skill levels, and use hands-on, project-based teaching methods.
- Team-oriented mindset, reliability, and willingness to learn new tools, technologies, and teaching methodologies.
- Previous experience with educational robotics competitions, coding clubs, or maker spaces is a plus.
