Senior Security Data Engineer

Location: Zurich

Start date:  ASAP

Duration: 6 months – with possibility of extension

Key Responsibilities

• Architect, operate, and continuously improve centralised logging and SIEM platforms at enterprise scale
• Design, build, and maintain telemetry/data pipelines for routing, enrichment, filtering, and multi-destination delivery
• Drive development and operationalisation of SOAR workflows to accelerate incident response
• Develop and maintain monitoring, detection content, reports, and dashboards
• Collaborate cross-functionally to integrate new data sources and expand platform/observability coverage
• Maintain technical documentation (architecture, runbooks, data flow diagrams, security parameterisations)
• Coordinate resolution of security-relevant platform incidents with internal/external stakeholders
• Provide 2nd/3rd level engineering support, including on-call rotation participation

Key Skills

• Min. 5 years hands-on experience engineering/administering enterprise SIEM platforms
• Experience with detection content, correlation searches, dashboards, CIM-normalised data models
• Strong experience designing/operating data pipelines and log routing (ideally Cribl Stream or comparable)
• Scripting/automation in Python, Bash/Shell, and/or JavaScript
• Working experience with GIT, SQL, REST APIs, and regular expressions
• Solid understanding of SOAR platforms and security operations automation
• University degree or higher technical education (CS, InfoSec, or related) — or equivalent experience
• Fluent written and spoken English
