Job description

We are seeking an experienced and detail-focused Quality Control (QC) Inspector to monitor, inspect, and document construction activities for compliance with the project’s quality standards. The ideal candidate must have at least 10 years of relevant experience, preferably within a PMC environment, and demonstrate strong knowledge of quality control practices, construction materials, and international standards.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine and random inspections of site activities, materials, and installations to ensure compliance with approved drawings, specifications, and codes.
  • Review and verify Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs), method statements, and material submittals.
  • Ensure that construction work meets the required quality standards, specifications, and contractual obligations.
  • Monitor and document quality performance of contractors and subcontractors.
  • Issue non-conformance reports (NCRs) and follow up on corrective and preventive actions.
  • Maintain accurate records of all inspections, test results, and quality documentation.
  • Assist in material receiving inspections to confirm compliance with approved material submittals and technical specifications.
  • Participate in regular site audits and provide support during internal and external quality assessments.
  • Coordinate with QA/QC engineers, site engineers, and construction supervisors to resolve quality-related issues. Prepare daily QC inspection reports and update the QC tracking system.

Requirements:

  • Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Civil, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in quality control in construction.
  • Solid knowledge of construction techniques, materials, codes, and quality assurance standards.
  • Familiarity with international standards such as ASTM, ACI, BS, ISO 9001, etc.
  • Proficient in reading and interpreting technical drawings, specifications, and test reports.
  • Strong documentation, observation, and communication skills.
