We are looking for an experienced Web Application Developer to support a long-term enterprise project in Basel. This is a 3-year contract role with the possibility of extension. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience in designing, developing, and maintaining secure, scalable, and high-performance Web applications. The role requires solid expertise across the following technologies.

  • Angular 14+, React.js (Microsoft Blazor represents a highly valued secondary asset).
  • Web Fundamentals: TypeScript (expert), JavaScript (ES6+), HTML5, CSS 3.0, Sass/Less preprocessors.
  • Design Frameworks: Bootstrap 5+, Angular Material, Tailwind CSS.

Strategic Scope: Directs the programmatic styling, structure, client-side state management, and interaction design of corporate-level web application frontend infrastructures, focusing on responsive layouts, accessibility compliance, and high-performance asynchronous browser communication. Core Responsibilities

  • Component Architecture: Translate complex UI/UX screen design blueprints, interactive mockups, and state specifications into modular, reusable, testable, and highly optimized frontend code structures.
  • Responsive Layout Engineering: Build fluid and responsive user interfaces that render uniformly across distinct end-user browser engines (Chromium, WebKit, Gecko) and varying hardware display geometries (desktop, tablet, industrial monitors).
  • Backend Interface Binding: Map and integrate complex asynchronous state transitions, binding modern browser components to decoupled server-side RESTful endpoints and traditional SOAP XML web services over secure transport layers.
  • Telemetry & Monitoring Injection: Code and integrate proactive tracking tools within client bundles to measure runtime performance latencies, intercept runtime frontend scripting errors, and format structured client-side access logging.
  • Authentication Handshaking: Set up secure, federated frontend session initialisations by mapping secure token storage, identity handshake routines, and access validation callbacks via enterprise access controllers.

Required Skills & Experience

  • Minimum of 3 to 5+ years of demonstrable enterprise frontend application development experience within multi-tier, enterprise-grade application environments.
  • Strong hands-on experience with Angular 14+ and/or React.js for building scalable, maintainable, and high-performance frontend applications.
  • Expert-level knowledge of TypeScript, with strong practical experience in JavaScript ES6+, HTML5, CSS 3.0, and modern frontend development standards.
  • Experience working with modern UI and design frameworks such as Bootstrap 5+, Angular Material, and Tailwind CSS.
  • Good working knowledge of CSS preprocessors such as Sass or Less for structured and reusable styling.
  • Experience integrating frontend applications with enterprise identity and access management systems, including Keycloak, OAuth2, OpenID Connect, and SAML-based authentication flows.
  • Good understanding of secure coding, performance optimisation, and software development lifecycle practices.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a distributed project team.
  • Languages : Flawless bilingual/native-level business German communications proficiency (C1/C2 level written and spoken) is required. The candidate must present seamlessly in German during the technical panel interview (Anbieterfachgespräch).
  • Swiss Compliance : Must hold EU/EFTA nationality or possess an active, valid Swiss permanent residency/work card (C Permit or unrestricted B/G Permit).
