Job description
Position : Commercial Tourism Partnerships Manager - Sporting Event
Location : Riyadh / Jeddah, Saudi Arabia (with potential deployment to Al Khobar based on operational requirements)
Contract Duration : July 2026 - March 2027
We are seeking a Commercial Tourism Partnerships Manager to support the delivery of a major international sporting event hosted in Saudi Arabia. This role will focus on driving tourism-related commercial partnerships, developing destination-led travel initiatives, and working with key industry stakeholders to maximize visitor demand and international engagement.
Key Responsibilities
• Develop and manage strategic partnerships with airlines, travel agencies, tour operators, destination management companies (DMCs), hospitality providers, and tourism stakeholders
• Identify and execute commercial opportunities that enhance tourism demand and international visitor inflow
• Lead negotiations and manage key partner relationships across the travel and tourism ecosystem
• Design and support travel packages, tourism campaigns, and destination marketing initiatives linked to the event
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to deliver commercial and tourism growth objectives
• Monitor market trends, visitor behavior, and performance metrics to optimize partner strategies and campaign effectiveness
• Coordinate with hospitality, transport, and destination partners to ensure seamless visitor experience delivery during the event period
Requirements
• Minimum 5 years of experience in sales, business development, partnerships, account management, or commercial roles within tourism, travel, aviation, hospitality, destination management, or related sectors
• Strong experience managing relationships with airlines, OTAs, travel agencies, DMCs, hotels, or tourism authorities
• Proven ability to develop tourism products, travel packages, or destination-led commercial initiatives
• Strong understanding of tourism distribution channels, B2B sales, and customer acquisition strategies
• Experience with digital travel platforms, online booking ecosystems, and travel technologies is an advantage
• Previous exposure to major events, sports events, tourism boards, or large-scale destination marketing initiatives is highly desirable
• Strong negotiation, stakeholder management, and communication skills
• Ability to operate in a fast-paced, high-pressure event environment
