Job Description – Data Analyst, D365 Data Migration | Shanghai, China | 12-Month Contract

Role: Data Analyst – Microsoft Dynamics 365 Data Migration | Discipline: Data & Analytics | Family: Technology

Location: Shanghai, China (Onsite) | Contract: Fixed Term, 12 Months

Role Purpose

Support the migration of legacy data into Microsoft Dynamics 365 as part of the customer’s APAC ERP/CRM transformation program, ensuring data quality, integrity, completeness, and compliance with global standards and China-specific requirements.

Key Accountabilities

• Analyse legacy data sources and structures for migration into D365 F&O/CE.
• Work with business, functional, and technical teams to define data requirements, mapping, transformation, and cleansing rules.
• Perform profiling, validation, reconciliation, and issue resolution to ensure accurate and complete migrated data.
• Support ETL activities, mock loads, SIT, UAT, production cutover, go-live, and hypercare.
• Maintain migration documentation including mapping documents, data dictionaries, validation reports, and governance records.
• Support data standards, naming conventions, security, compliance, and master data governance processes.

Professional Knowledge, Skills & Experience

• 5–8+ years’ experience in data analysis, migration, or data management, preferably across ERP/CRM transformation programs.
• Hands-on experience with Excel, SQL, ETL/data migration tools, data profiling, data quality, and governance practices.
• Experience with large datasets across finance, customer, vendor, project, resource, or master data domains.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Dynamics 365 F&O/CE data models is a strong advantage.
• Experience in Agile or structured delivery environments; APAC/multi-country transformation exposure preferred.
• Exposure to Azure data tools, Power Platform, DMF, Azure Data Factory, MDM tools, or similar is a plus.

Language Requirements

• Native or fluent Mandarin Chinese is mandatory.
• Strong English communication skills for collaboration with global teams.
