We have multiple IST opportunities in Spain and are hiring Project Managers with proven experience of delivery in these sectors.

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead new build and A&A construction projects from concept through to completion. This role requires strong technical expertise, stakeholder management, and the ability to deliver projects within defined timelines, budget, and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the full lifecycle of new build and A&A construction projects, from feasibility and design through to completion and handover
  • Work independently and collaboratively to deliver key projects in line with contractual, regulatory, and client requirements
  • Apply project management frameworks, processes, and tools to ensure structured and efficient project delivery
  • Coordinate and manage internal teams, external stakeholders, consultants, and contractors across all phases
  • Oversee design development and authority submissions, ensuring compliance with local codes and regulatory requirements
  • Lead procurement activities, including preparation and review of trade tender packages for building works
  • Appoint and manage contractors and subcontractors while maintaining governance and probity standards
  • Administer construction contracts, including evaluation of progress claims, variations, and extensions of time
  • Monitor site progress for structural, architectural, and M&E works, ensuring alignment with project schedules
  • Prepare, review, and track project programmes, ensuring timely delivery against approved timelines
  • Monitor and control project costs to ensure delivery within approved budgets
  • Manage completion activities including testing & commissioning, TOP/CSC processes (where applicable), handover, and defects rectification
  • Liaise with local authorities and agencies to secure necessary approvals for new build and A&A works
  • Ensure compliance with workplace safety, health, and environmental regulations
  • Implement and maintain quality assurance processes to ensure high standards in construction delivery

Qualifications

  • Degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Project Management, or a related discipline
  • Minimum 10 years’ experience managing new build and/or A&A construction projects
  • Proven track record in delivering building projects (e.g., corporate or mixed-use developments)
  • Strong understanding of construction methodologies, building systems, and regulatory requirements
  • Experience managing projects involving structural modifications, retrofitting, or building upgrades is highly advantageous
  • Solid knowledge of project management tools, planning techniques, and contract administration
  • Ability to manage multiple stakeholders in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
  • Strong communication, coordination, and leadership skills
