This role will involve managing a global team spread across in US, AP (India/Singapore) and UK/Poland.

The role owns the strategy and execution of advanced monitoring, automation, and AI‑assisted operations, ensuring the network can safely scale to meet current and future business demands while materially reducing incident frequency, severity, and customer impact. The Senior Director partners closely with Network Engineering, Architecture, Security, SRE, and Platform teams to embed operational resilience into network design and lifecycle management.

Location: Singapore (preferable) but we are open to candidates from UK and Denver / Ashburn.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Establish and mature a proactive monitoring and prevention strategy, leveraging telemetry, signals, and analytics to detect degradation and risks before customer impact.
  • Drive measurable reductions in incident frequency, MTTR, and repeat issues through systematic, rigorous and disciplined root‑cause elimination and systemic fixes.
  • Embed operability, reliability, and resilience requirements proactively as part of shift-left culture into network architecture, design reviews, and change processes in partnership with engineering teams.

Automation at Scale:

  • Define and execute a network operations automation roadmap, focusing on scale, consistency, and elimination of manual toil.
  • Lead adoption of closed‑loop automation for fault detection, remediation, configuration compliance, and capacity management.
  • Ensure automation is production‑grade, secure, observable, and governed, with clear ownership and lifecycle management.
  • Partner with Network Engineering and Tools teams to standardize platforms, APIs, and data models that enable automation at global scale.

GenAI & Advanced Analytics (Preferred / Differentiating):

  • Champion the responsible application of GenAI in network operations, including:
    • Intelligent incident triage and correlation
    • Automated root‑cause analysis and recommendation systems
    • Operational knowledge augmentation for engineers and on‑call teams
  • Evaluate and integrate AI/ML capabilities using network telemetry, logs, and events to enable predictive and self‑healing operations.
  • Partner with data, platform, and security teams to ensure AI solutions are explainable, secure, and aligned with enterprise risk standards.

Operational Governance & Incident Management:

  • Own executive‑level incident management, escalation, and communications for major network events.
  • Establish strong operational governance, including KPIs, SLIs/SLOs, error budgets, and continuous improvement mechanisms.
  • Ensure compliance with security, risk, audit and regulatory requirements while maintaining operational agility.
