Manager, Strategy, Enterprise Risk & Investment

Job Purpose

Looking for a motivated, detailed-oriented and driven self-starter to drive and provide due diligence and financial modelling support for various corporate finance transactions within the SMRT Group, through collaborating cross-functionally with stakeholders and senior management. The role is also expected to support the ventures team to evaluate mobility start-ups and perform portfolio monitoring and reporting activities.

Responsibilities

  • Drive and provide due diligence and financial modelling support for transactions such as Merger & Acquisitions, Joint Ventures and Tender activities in the various SMRT Business Units through working with various stakeholders
  • Direct involvement in the end-to-end deal execution process for all transactions (industry research and commercial due diligence, financial modelling, review of agreements, deal structuring, risk assessment, valuation analyses and closing)
  • Assist in the preparation of reports/presentations capturing key highlights and insights of the transactions
  • Monitor and evaluate the business and financial performance post transactions
  • Evaluate ventures deal flow pipeline for potential investment, perform due diligence and research on investment targets and assist in ventures deal execution tasks
  • Track financial, operational metrics and monitor developments of the ventures portfolio companies including valuation analyses and business evaluation
  • Provide regular updates on the performance of the ventures portfolio to senior management
  • Other ad-hoc tasks as required such as assisting in organizing Management and Board retreats Qualifications & Work Experience

  • 4-7 years working experience in corporate finance, investment & research, in-house strategy, corporate development or equivalent function. Candidates from other fields with relevant or transferrable skillsets will also be considered.
  • Experience in building robust financial models Skills

Given the multi-faceted nature of work, we are looking for a motivated self-starter who possess the following skills:

  • Clarity in critical thinking and processing, ability to synthesize insights and define clear action plan, from data and facts
  • Strong quantitative skills and numerical literacy
  • Proficient with Microsoft Excel and other enabling tools to drive detailed and robust analyses
