Senior C/C++ Engineer – Identity & Access Management

About the Role

As a Senior C/C++ Engineer, you will contribute to the digital transformation of a leading financial institution, with a strong focus on Identity & Access Management (IAM) and information security.

The team operates in a mature Agile/Scrum environment and is responsible for developing and maintaining custom-built products that support the organisation’s identity and access landscape.

The team is currently moving its infrastructure to a new platform, and we are looking for an experienced C/C++ developer who can contribute to this technical transition while working within established security, architecture and development standards.

Your focus will be on translating customer and business needs into robust technical solutions, strengthening existing applications and contributing to the continued development of secure and reliable IAM products.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain and implement applications using C/C++.
• Contribute to the technical transition of existing infrastructure to a new platform.
• Refactor and improve existing software components, including the Replication Server.
• Contribute to the replacement of Adyton hardware.
• Develop and maintain secure connections between systems.
• Apply secure coding principles throughout the software development lifecycle.
• Develop and maintain SOAP and REST services.
• Work with Linux-based environments.
• Contribute to CI/CD development and automation.
• Analyse and resolve critical technical issues.
• Work within the organisation’s established architecture, security and development standards.
• Collaborate closely with other engineers, stakeholders and team members in an Agile/Scrum environment.
• Contribute technical expertise, share knowledge and act as a mentor to less experienced colleagues.
• Provide and receive constructive feedback to continuously improve both solutions and team performance.

Required Skills & Experience

• Minimum 8+ years of hands-on experience in software development and implementation.
• Strong professional experience with C/C++ development.
• Demonstrable experience developing and maintaining C/C++ applications.
• Experience with secure coding and security-conscious software development.
• Experience with CI/CD development.
• Strong knowledge of Linux OS.
• Experience developing and integrating SOAP and REST services.
• Experience working in an Agile/Scrum environment.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Experience working within complex enterprise or business-critical environments.

Preferred Skills & Experience

• Experience as a Software Architect or Software Designer.
• Knowledge and experience with Azure DevOps.
• Experience with Identity & Access Management (IAM).
• Experience with infrastructure or platform migrations.
• Experience working in highly regulated, security-sensitive or financial-services environments.
