Clariness is looking for a Social Media Monitoring Specialist (f/m/d/) based in Cape Town, Berlin, Hamburg or Remotely within Germany.

As a Social Media Monitoring Specialist, you will support our Patient Marketing team by monitoring and moderating social media interactions, engaging directly with patients and users, and supporting digital marketing and patient recruitment campaigns. You'll work closely with Patient Marketing, Regulatory Affairs, Patient Insights, Project Management and external advertising partners, gaining hands-on experience across patient engagement, digital advertising, performance marketing and clinical trial recruitment in a regulated healthcare environment.
As a Social Media Monitoring Specialist, you would be responsible for:
- Monitor and moderate interactions across social media platforms, including direct messages, comments, reviews and posts, ensuring timely, professional and compliant engagement.
- Identify, document and escalate adverse events, product complaints, privacy concerns and other reportable content in accordance with company procedures and regulatory requirements.
- Support the planning, coordination and execution of digital marketing and patient recruitment campaigns.
- Assist with paid social and digital advertising campaigns, including campaign setup, performance monitoring, reporting and optimization.
- Coordinate with external advertising partners and internal stakeholders to ensure campaign activities are delivered accurately and on time.
- Maintain accurate documentation, tagging and reporting while supporting continuous improvement of social media and marketing processes.
- Collaborate closely with Patient Marketing, Regulatory Affairs, Patient Insights and Project Management to deliver engaging and compliant patient communications.
We would like you to have:
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, Healthcare Administration, Life Sciences or a related field.
- Around 1 year of relevant experience in social media, communications, digital marketing, campaign coordination or a related area; internships or agency experience are welcome.
- A genuine interest in social media, digital advertising and performance marketing, with a willingness to learn and develop your skills in these areas.
- Strong written and verbal English communication skills; additional languages are a plus.
- Strong organizational and communication skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively with different stakeholders.
- An analytical mindset, attention to detail and willingness to work with campaign data and performance metrics.
- An interest in clinical trials, patient recruitment, healthcare or life sciences is highly desirable; industry experience is a plus but not essential.
- Experience with platforms such as Meta Ads Manager, Google Ads, LinkedIn Ads, content creation or campaign analytics is a plus, but not required.
