Graduate Trader (6-month)

Onyx Capital APAC is the regional headquarters of the Onyx Capital Group in Asia Pacific, based in Singapore. We’re looking for candidate with the following qualifications:

• A Bachelor’s, Master’s or PhD degree, ideally from a STEM discipline
• This is an entry-level position suitable for candidates with a strong academic foundation and up to 1 year of relevant experience.
• Experience programming in Python, R, C++ or similar languages is desirable but not essential

Job responsibilities

• Perform daily trading support tasks including trade entry and reconciliation
• Collaborate with back office teams on desk-related or firm-wide projects
• Assist with futures and OTC executions
• Support traders in research, development, and implementation of trading strategies
• Explore and analyse profitable opportunities in new products and markets

All our Trader Analyst join Onyx on a 6-month training contract initially, with progression to a permanent contract, thereafter, based on performance.

This role is based in Singapore, and we are looking for individuals who are available to start within 1 - 2 months.

Our market-making division is the largest liquidity provider by volume in oil derivatives. Powered by our unique positioning in the market, we provide data, technology and consultancy solutions which support the energy derivative trading cycle.
