Job Title Assistant Venue Manager Job Description Summary Under the supervision of the Facilities Manager, the Assistant Facilities Manager supports the facilities organization at a specific location, set of buildings, or campus environment. The Assistant Facilities Manager is charged with supporting the day-to-day implementation of policies, procedures, programs and workplace services delivery that provides a well-managed and well-maintained building. Places an emphasis on a positive response to the concerns and needs of the tenants, environmental health and safety, and quality programs, in coordination with the client's goals and objectives. About the Role

Manage daily operations of Arts venues, including theatres, studios, rehearsal rooms, and associated facilities. 

Co-ordinate and support arts performances, rehearsals, screenings, ceremonies, and related programmes. 

To conduct periodic venue inspections to check the venues cleaning condition, building defects etc.   

Manage venue inventory lists, movements, and deployments. Assess and evaluate inventory’s conditions, prepare and record loss, damage, or malfunction of equipment. 

To manage all Event related administration and operations matters such as handing over and taking over of event space, event set-up/teardown, event logistics be on site during events to ensure venue readiness, Liaise with hirers, event organisers, and stakeholders on logistics and requirements. Maintain accurate records of venue usage, events, and attendance. Take photographs of events for reporting and audit purposes. 

Manage crowd flow, front-of-house readiness, and audience experience during events where required. 

Coordinate cleaning, security, technical, and maintenance support before, during, and after events.  

To ensure that the AV Technicians conduct daily checks of all AV equipment before the start of official working hours to ensure they are in good working condition. 

To perform Duty Manager to oversee and coordinate FM support ensuring venue readiness and smooth running of event day/period. 

To work with marketing teams to promote arts events, and attract a diverse audience to the venues. Management of all Arts volunteers including scheduling, welfare, on-job training and safety. 

Monitor both in-house and external contractor work complies with WSH Act, Risk Assessment and safe work procedure. Stop any unsafe act, practice, condition and report incident to C&W safety or management team. 

At manager’s discretion, Executive may be assigned to assist his peer on other duties.  

About You

Diploma or Degree in a relevant field.

Experience in venue operations, event management, community facilities, or programme delivery.

Strong coordination and communication skills.
