YOUR MISSION:
- Establish and lead PUMA’s global Strategic Insights function that enables the translation of consumer insights and trends, market intelligence and competitive signals into clear strategic direction for the brand
- Build and own a global insights portfolio that supports PUMA’s brand strategy, product creation, communications, go-to-market priorities, commercial planning and long-term growth decisions
- Establish a robust marketplace intelligence framework, including market sizing, market share, trend tracking, competitor monitoring, channel and category intelligence, with a clear focus on early identification of growth opportunities and risks
- Oversee global consumer insights programs across qualitative and quantitative research, brand tracking, segmentation, brand positioning, social listening and trend research
- Translate complex data and research findings into compelling executive narratives, actionable recommendations and decision-ready outputs for senior leadership
- Partner closely with the central Strategy & Head Office, Brand, Commercial, Finance and Regional teams to embed insights into key business processes and strategic choices
- Develop the tools, dashboards, reports and operating rhythms required to create one consistent source of truth on consumers, markets and competitors
- Build, lead and develop a high-performing central team for consumer insights and marketplace intelligence, while strengthening an effective insights network across the wider organization
- Manage external research agencies, data partners and intelligence providers to ensure highquality output, methodological excellence, efficient budgets and strong business impact.
YOUR TALENT:
- 10+ years of experience in consumer insights, market research, market intelligence, corporate strategy, business analytics or a related field, ideally within sport, fashion, retail, consumer goods or another brand-led global business
- University degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Psychology, Economics, Statistics, Data Analytics or a related discipline; master’s degree or MBA is a plus
- Proven experience building and leading insights, research or intelligence capabilities in a complex, international organization
- Deep expertise in qualitative and quantitative research methods, consumer segmentation, brand tracking, market and competitor analysis, trend forecasting and data-driven strategy development
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to connect multiple data sources, identify patterns and translate insights into clear business implications
- Outstanding storytelling, presentation and stakeholder management skills, with the confidence to advise and influence both senior executives and their teams
- Experience working with research agencies, syndicated data providers, analytics platforms, dashboards and visualization tools; familiarity with advanced analytics and AI-enabled insights is a plus
- Strong leadership capabilities with a track record of developing teams, setting priorities and creating effective cross-functional ways of working
- Curious, consumer-obsessed and commercially minded, with a passion for sport, culture, brands and marketplace dynamics
- Highly structured, proactive and resilient, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced global environment.
