Then come and join our global team as a Senior Professional Export Control and Customs (f/m/d) for Strategy and Reviews. Through your strategic vision, your ability to develop forward-looking governance structures, and your effective stakeholder management, you will make a significant contribution to the sustainable success of our business unit. Choose the best place for your work – Within the scope of this position, it is possible, in consultation with your manager, to work mobile (within Germany) up to an average volume of 60% of the respective working hours. Even more flexibility? Mobile working from abroad is possible for up to 30 days a year under certain conditions and in selected countries.

This position is full-time or part-time with a minimum of 35h/week. Your tasks and responsibilities:

  • You lead global projects aimed at further developing and enhancing the Export Control and Customs organization.
  • You oversee and coordinate export control and customs-related workstreams within company-wide projects, ensuring the effective organizational and procedural implementation of Foreign Trade Compliance requirements.
  • You work closely with the Export Control and Customs Management Team to assess strategic risks, identify areas for action, and develop sustainable solutions.
  • In addition, you collaborate closely with the Head of Export Control and Customs to shape and successfully implement global strategic initiatives.
  • You develop and optimize strategies to ensure the effectiveness and continuous improvement of the Internal Compliance Program (ICP) and other Export Control & Customs governance frameworks.
  • You identify opportunities for optimization and successfully implement related internal improvement projects and training initiatives.

Your qualifications and experience:

  • You hold a university degree in Business Administration, Law (e.g., Customs Law, Business Law, or a related field), or an equivalent academic qualification.
  • You bring many years of relevant professional experience in Export Control and Customs within an internationally operating company or a professional services/audit and consulting firm.
  • You have solid project management experience, ideally in the area of foreign trade or compliance projects and have successfully guided and coordinated a wide range of stakeholders from a functional perspective.
  • You have hands-on experience with relevant IT systems such as SAP GTS, AEB, or DAMEX and are willing and able to quickly familiarize yourself with new systems and technologies.
  • You possess knowledge of process management and continuous process improvement methodologies.
  • You have advanced proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite, particularly PowerPoint for developing management presentations and Excel for analysis, reporting, and data evaluation.

  • You approach conflicts constructively, facilitate differing viewpoints in a solution-oriented manner, and are able to achieve sustainable decisions while ensuring their consistent implementation.
  • You work in a structured, independent, and results-driven manner, prioritize effectively even under significant workload, and demonstrate a strong track record of delivering projects successfully.
  • You value collaboration in international and cross-cultural teams and possess business-fluent English skills; German language skills are considered an advantage.
