Job description
Duties
- Responsible for planning, directing and implementing a theatre/ special events program (e.g.,concert series).
- Develops operating procedures. Conducts needs assessments.
- Identifies deficiencies and initiates corrective action.
- Provides technical and administrative guidance to support personnel.
- Effectively manages resources.
Qualifications

A qualified candidate must possess the following:
Work experience that demonstrated the ability to produce, stage, or direct theatrical performances or events such as pageants, play festivals, or musicals. Instruct in or serve as a specialist in one or more of the theater arts such as:
- Direction
- Technical production such as lighting design and execution, scenic and costume design and construction, and makeup
- Dance production such as choreography, dance drama, and ritual theater
- Performance techniques such as acting, dancing, and dramatic pantomime
- Playwriting
- Play or music theater production
- Theater administration, management, or promotion
- In addition to the above qualifications, candidates who possess the following qualifications will be considered "Highly Preferred" or "Best Qualified": Possess a minimum of two (2) years of progressive experience in theatre management and production OR a BA/BFA in Theatre or performing arts. This must include documented success in season programming, budget development/execution, and the direct supervision of both paid employees and volunteer staff.
- Possess comprehensive, hands-on production management experience encompassing stage lighting design/operation, audio engineering, scenic construction, properties (props) management, and costuming.
- Possess expertise in the creative and logistical execution of theatrical performances, specifically including stage management, directing, and dramaturgy.
- Possess demonstrated proficiency in Non-Appropriated Fund (NAF) financial management, comprehensive personnel management (hiring, training, and performance evaluation), and strict property management/accountability for specialized theatrical facilities, tools, and A/V equipment.
