Head of Finance

Key Responsibilities

• Lead all accounting and finance activities across the business, including AP, AR, general ledger, and financial reporting
• Prepare monthly management accounts and financial reports for leadership
• Ensure timely month-end and year-end close processes in accordance with IFRS and UAE regulations
• Lead annual budgeting, forecasting, financial modelling, and performance analysis
• Monitor revenue, profitability, operating expenses, cash flow, working capital, and key business drivers
• Manage cash flow forecasting, liquidity, banking relationships, and payment processes
• Ensure compliance with UAE VAT, Corporate Tax, statutory, and regulatory requirements
• Maintain robust financial controls, policies, and procedures and coordinate annual audits
• Partner with leadership and departmental teams on budgeting, cost management, strategic initiatives, partnerships, and growth opportunities
• Develop scalable finance processes and identify opportunities for automation and operational efficiency
• Support the implementation and optimization of finance systems, reporting tools, and KPI dashboards
• Lead and develop the finance team while ensuring strong financial governance, accuracy, and accountability

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field
• Professional qualification such as ACCA, ACA, CPA, CA, or equivalent
• 6–10 years of progressive finance and accounting experience, including 2–4 years in a finance management or leadership role
• Experience within Insurance, InsurTech, FinTech, Financial Services, or Technology sectors
• Strong knowledge of IFRS, UAE VAT, and UAE Corporate Tax requirements
• Strong financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, and financial modelling experience
• Advanced Excel and financial analysis skills
• Strong commercial acumen with the ability to provide strategic financial insights and support business decision-making
• Experience in developing finance processes, controls, and reporting systems
• Strong leadership, communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills
