Your tasks and responsibilities:

Strategic Tax Leadership

  • You define and execute the tax strategy for the Diagnostics EMEA business.
  • You act as a trusted advisor to senior business and finance leaders, on commercial, operational and strategic initiatives.
  • You support sustainable growth through proactive tax planning and value-driven decision support.

Business Partnership

  • You collaborate with regional leadership teams, finance organizations, legal teams, supply chain functions and commercial leaders.
  • You provide tax guidance on business models, market expansion, restructurings, supply chain developments, and cross-border transactions.
  • You influence decision-making through pragmatic, commercially focused tax advice.

Governance, Risk & Compliance

  • You ensure effective tax governance, controls, and risk management across the region.
  • You oversee compliance activities in close partnership with local finance teams and external advisors.
  • You drive strong audit outcomes and maintain robust documentation and control frameworks.

Tax Transformation & Digitalisation

  • You champion the digital transformation of tax processes across EMEA.
  • You drive the adoption of automation, analytics, and tax technologies while identifying opportunities for continuous improvement.
  • You partner with finance transformation teams on SAP and other digital initiatives to enhance efficiency and transparency.

Stakeholder Leadership

  • You build strong relationships with regional and global leadership teams.
  • You work closely with specialists in Corporate Tax, Transfer Pricing, VAT & Indirect Tax, Tax Technology, and International Tax.
  • You represent tax interests in strategic business discussions and transformation programs.

Your qualifications and experience:

  • You hold a university degree in Business Administration, Economics, Finance, Accounting, Law, or a related discipline, ideally complemented by a professional tax qualification.
  • You bring many years of extensive experience in international taxation gained within a multinational organization, a Big Four environment, or a combination of both, and possess strong expertise in corporate tax, international tax, and tax governance.
  • You have a proven ability to support complex international organizations, influence senior stakeholders, and successfully navigate matrix structures.
  • You combine strategic thinking with strong commercial acumen and are able to translate complex tax matters into practical, business-oriented solutions.
  • You possess a solid understanding of IFRS, tax reporting, and tax risk management, complemented by experience with SAP and modern tax technology solutions.
  • You have a track record of driving process improvements, automation initiatives, and digital transformation programs that enhance efficiency and transparency.

  • You drive continuous improvement by challenging the status quo, identifying opportunities for innovation, and promoting new ways of working.
