Job description

Senior IT Systems & Endpoint Engineer

📍 Delft, Netherlands

💰 Circa €72,000 + flexibility for the right person

🏢 Hybrid: 3 days onsite / 2 remote

🛂 No visa sponsorship available

I’m working with a fast-growing deep-tech business in Delft that is strengthening its internal IT engineering function and looking for someone who wants far more ownership than a traditional internal IT role usually offers.

This is not a job where you spend your week working through a ticket queue.

They want someone who can help engineer, automate and secure the environment properly — taking ownership across endpoint management, automation, infrastructure, security and identity as the company scales.

What you’ll be working on:

You’ll be responsible for areas including:

  • Engineering and managing macOS, Windows and Linux endpoints
  • MDM, automated provisioning and device policy
  • Endpoint hardening, patching and compliance
  • Building Python / JavaScript / API-driven automation
  • Zero Trust and least-privilege initiatives
  • IAM governance and access reviews
  • Google Workspace, Slack, Atlassian and wider SaaS tooling
  • Complex Tier 3 troubleshooting and root-cause analysis
  • Networking, VPNs, firewalls, servers and backup/DR
  • Supporting technical controls around ISO 27001 and NIS2
  • Helping shape secure adoption of AI tooling, LLMs and emerging technologies

The current environment includes technologies such as JumpCloud, Automox, Google Workspace and ConductorOne , although experience with comparable platforms is absolutely relevant.

What I’m looking for

You’ll probably have 4+ years across areas such as:

Endpoint Engineering / Workplace Engineering / IT Systems Engineering / Infrastructure Engineering / Systems Administration

Ideally you’ll bring experience with several of:

  • Jamf / Intune / Kandji / Workspace ONE / JumpCloud
  • macOS + Windows + Linux
  • Python, JavaScript, PowerShell or Bash
  • API automation
  • Google Workspace
  • IAM / SSO / Zero Trust
  • Endpoint security and compliance
  • Tier 3 infrastructure troubleshooting
  • Networking
  • Terraform / Ansible
  • IT security or compliance environments

You do not need every tool on the list.

The bigger thing is having an engineering mindset — someone who sees a manual process and immediately thinks:

“Why aren’t we automating this?”

Why it’s interesting

The attraction here is the breadth.

You’ll have genuine influence across:

Endpoints → Automation → Security → IAM → SaaS → Infrastructure → AI Governance

It suits someone who enjoys being hands-on, solving difficult problems at the root cause and having the freedom to improve how an environment is built rather than simply keeping it running.

If that sounds like your kind of role, drop me a message and I’ll happily share more details.
