Job Summary

We are seeking a technically strong and detail-oriented BIM Specialist – Architectural Metal Works to join our engineering and design team.

The successful candidate will be responsible for developing, coordinating, and managing accurate BIM models and technical documentation for architectural metal works, aluminium façades, curtain wall systems, handrails, balustrades, pergolas, canopies, louvers, and customized architectural elements.

The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience with Autodesk Revit, excellent BIM coordination skills, and practical knowledge of fabrication, shop drawings, and installation requirements within the architectural metal works, aluminium, façade, or construction industry.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain accurate 3D BIM models for architectural metal works and façade systems using Autodesk Revit.
• Prepare detailed shop drawings, fabrication drawings, installation drawings, assembly details, and construction documentation.
• Develop BIM models for:
• Architectural Metal Works
• Handrails & Balustrades
• Steel Pergolas
• Aluminium Façades
• Curtain Wall Systems
• Aluminium Doors & Windows
• Canopies & Louvers
• Feature & Decorative Metal Works
• Customized Architectural Elements
• Coordinate BIM models with Architectural, Structural, MEP, and other project disciplines.
• Perform clash detection and model coordination using Navisworks or equivalent BIM coordination software.
• Review design information, drawings, specifications, and project requirements to ensure model accuracy.
• Ensure BIM deliverables comply with project standards, specifications, BIM Execution Plans, and client requirements.
• Extract quantities and generate material take-offs from BIM models.
• Coordinate with Design, Estimation, Production, Procurement, and Project teams throughout the project lifecycle.
• Support the preparation and development of fabrication and installation details.
• Participate in BIM coordination meetings with consultants, architects, contractors, and project stakeholders.
• Identify modelling and coordination issues and implement appropriate technical solutions.
• Maintain BIM model accuracy, file structures, revisions, version control, and project documentation.
• Assist in developing BIM standards, templates, families, and modelling workflows.
• Support project teams during fabrication, installation, and site coordination where required.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Architecture, Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline.
• 3–6 years of relevant UAE/GCC experience as a BIM Specialist, BIM Modeler, BIM Coordinator, or similar role.
• Experience within architectural metal works, aluminium, façade, glazing, curtain wall, or related construction industries is mandatory.

• Canopies and Louvers
• Advanced proficiency in Autodesk Revit is mandatory.
• Good working knowledge of AutoCAD, Navisworks, BIM 360/Autodesk Construction Cloud, and Microsoft Office.
• Strong understanding of construction details, fabrication processes, installation methodologies, and architectural metal works.
• Experience preparing shop drawings, fabrication drawings, and installation drawings.
• Experience with BIM-based quantity take-offs and material extraction.
• Strong understanding of BIM coordination and clash detection.
• Excellent attention to detail, coordination, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work effectively with multidisciplinary engineering, design, production, and project teams.

Preferred Qualifications

• Autodesk Revit Professional Certification or equivalent BIM certification.
• Knowledge of Dynamo, Rhino, Grasshopper, or other BIM automation and computational design tools.
• Experience developing customized Revit families and parametric components.
• Experience working on high-rise, commercial, hospitality, residential, and landmark architectural projects.
• GCC project experience with major consultants, contractors, or façade specialists will be an advantage.
• Candidates available to join immediately or within a short notice period will be preferred.

Pay: AED7,000.00 - AED9,000.00 per month
