Data Engineer / Senior Data Engineer

Patsnap is looking for a Data Engineer or Senior Data Engineer to help build and evolve the data foundation behind our global innovation intelligence and AI-powered products. You’ll work with large-scale patent and related datasets, designing robust systems that transform complex raw information into accurate, reliable, and accessible data that our products and customers can depend on.

This is a hands-on engineering role with ownership across the full data lifecycle—from ingestion and parsing through to storage, quality, performance, and availability. You’ll solve challenging data problems at scale, continuously improve the efficiency and accuracy of our processing frameworks, and work closely with data architects to evolve our platform for greater scalability and resilience. Your work will directly enable Patsnap to deliver trusted, high-quality data and rapidly bring new data capabilities to customers around the world.

What You'll Be Doing:

Manage daily operations of patent data and related data, including integration, parsing, storage, and backup, ensuring data security, stability, and availability；

Analyze and understand new data requirements, design data processing solutions, write relevant documentation, and implement code；

Monitor data quality, design and implement targeted optimization solutions, and continuously improve data integrity and accuracy；

Optimize data processing frameworks and performance, enhancing the efficiency of system data handling to support rapid iteration of product data；

Work closely with data architects, participate in architecture upgrades and updates, and enhance system scalability and stability.

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree or above in computer science, data engineering, software engineering, or related fields; at least 3 years of experience in data development；

Proficiency in Java or Python with a solid programming foundation；

Familiarity with basic components of big data processing, such as Flink and Spark, with experience in performance optimization preferred；

Familiarity with Linux systems and common operations；

Strong sense of responsibility and proactive learning ability, able to adapt flexibly in a fast-paced environment；

Clear thinking with great communication skills and team spirit, able to collaborate effectively with team members from diverse cultural backgrounds；

Basic understanding of data privacy and compliance, capable of working in a regulatory environment.
