Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented Assistant Accountant with UAE real estate experience to support the Finance department. The ideal candidate will be responsible for day-to-day accounting activities while assisting in ensuring compliance with UAE MLRO and Counter-Terrorist Financing (CFT) regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with daily accounting operations, bookkeeping, and financial record maintenance.
- Process invoices, payments, receipts, and bank reconciliations.
- Record and reconcile real estate sales, leasing, commissions, and client transactions.
- Assist in preparing monthly financial reports and supporting audits.
- Maintain accounts payable and accounts receivable records.
- Conduct Know Your Customer (KYC) and Customer Due Diligence (CDD) checks.
- Review transactions to identify potential AML risks and escalate suspicious activities when required.
- Maintain MLRO documentation and ensure compliance with UAE.
- Assist in preparing regulatory reports and ensuring accurate record keeping.
- Coordinate with internal departments to ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Minimum 2 years of UAE real estate accounting experience is mandatory.
- Previous experience in AML compliance or MLRO responsibilities within the UAE is preferred.
- Knowledge of UAE AML/CFT regulations, KYC, and CDD procedures.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication skills in English ( additional European languages are an advantage).
- Ability to handle confidential information with integrity and professionalism.
