DLP Analyst/ Security Analyst

We are looking for a Junior DLP Analyst to join our cybersecurity team in St. Gallen. In this role, you will help protect the organization's sensitive and confidential information by monitoring Data Loss Prevention (DLP) systems, investigating alerts, supporting DLP policies, and assisting with security incident handling.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone at the beginning of their cybersecurity career who wants to develop practical experience in Data Loss Prevention, information security, and incident response .

Required Qualifications

• Perform first-level triage of DLP alerts and assess potential data-loss events.
• Analyze and handle DLP alerts in accordance with established processes, procedures, and SOPs .
• Classify alerts as false positives, benign positives, or true positives based on the available evidence.
• Investigate the context of DLP alerts, including the user, data involved, activity, and transfer channel.
• Ensure complete and accurate documentation of investigations and actions in VADLP .
• Escalate relevant cases to the 2nd-level support team or initiate an incident declaration in accordance with defined processes.
• Support the investigation and handling of DLP policy breaches .
• Communicate findings and provide feedback to help optimize existing DLP use cases, rules, and detection logic .

Requirements:

• Very good command of German or Swiss German
• Knowledge of French and/or Italian would be an advantage
• Understanding of data flows within an organisation
• Meticulous and reliable approach to work
• Discreet handling of confidential information
• Clean criminal record and no entries in the debt collection register
