Job description

ABOUT THE ROLE

A well-funded, early-stage B2B SaaS company building an AI-native platform for strategic procurement is looking for a Founding Product Engineer. The world's largest industrial companies spend billions on sourcing, yet their procurement teams still rely on fragmented data, manual analysis, and gut feel. This platform replaces that with AI agents that turn procurement into a true cognitive function — and you'll be central to making that happen.

This is a high-ownership, high-impact role for an engineer who ships quickly, thinks in products, and genuinely knows how to build with LLMs. You'll work end-to-end — frontend, backend, and LLM integrations — in fast cycles with serious scope.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

  • Build and ship production-grade features across the full stack (TypeScript, UI, backend services, prompt workflows).

  • Prototype rapidly and iterate based on direct feedback from enterprise users.

  • Design and implement sophisticated AI agent pipelines, making their complexity invisible to end users.

  • Own features end-to-end: from UX and backend logic through to prompt design and tuning.

  • Translate real user behavior and feedback into polished, high-impact product experiences.

  • Work closely with the founding team and customers to define how AI agents and procurement professionals interact at scale.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

Required

  • 1–10 years of professional software development experience.

  • Strong fullstack TypeScript skills — comfortable across UI and backend services.

  • Sharp, demonstrable intuition for working with LLMs: prompting, tuning, and integrating them into real products (show us through work, side projects, or hackathons).

  • Strong product instincts and creative drive — you care deeply about what makes a user experience actually work.

  • High agency and outcome-driven mindset — you don't wait for permission, you find a way.

  • Eligible to work in Germany without employer-sponsored visa (visa sponsorship is not available).

  • Available to work on-site in Berlin, Germany — remote work is not available for this role.

Nice to Have

  • Experience in procurement, supply chain, or enterprise B2B SaaS.

  • Background at a fast-paced startup or product-led company.

  • Experience shipping AI-powered features in a production environment.

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS

  • Salary: €90,000 – €140,000 per year, depending on experience.

  • Early-stage equity participation.

  • Direct impact on product direction and company trajectory as a founding team member.

LOCATION

  • Berlin, Germany — on-site role; physical presence is required.

  • No remote or fully distributed option for this position.

  • No visa sponsorship available; candidates must already be eligible to work in Germany.
