Job description

Are you looking to start or further develop your career in Treasury Operations, Capital Markets Operations or Banking Operations within an international banking environment?

We are looking for a Treasury Services Specialist to join our team in Amsterdam. In this role, you will gain hands-on experience across a broad range of Treasury and Capital Markets products, including Foreign Exchange (FX), Money Market, Fixed Income, Securities, Derivatives, Repurchase Agreements (Repos) and Corporate Actions.

Your role:

You will support the full operational lifecycle of Treasury transactions — from trade capture, validation and confirmation through settlement, reconciliation and operational control — while working closely with experienced Treasury professionals, Front Office teams, counterparties, custodians and other internal stakeholders.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who wants to build or further develop a career in Treasury Operations and financial markets within an international bank.

Key Responsibilities

Treasury Operations
  • Support the processing, validation, and control of Treasury transactions across FX, Money Market, Securities, and Derivative products.
  • Perform trade enrichment, confirmation, matching, and settlement activities.
  • Monitor trade statuses and investigate unmatched or discrepant transactions.
  • Communicate with counterparties and internal stakeholders to resolve operational issues.
  • Assist in processing funding transactions, FX swaps, NDFs, and money market deals.
Settlements & Cash Management
  • Support daily settlement and payment activities.
  • Monitor and maintain settlement instructions (SSI).
  • Assist with cash management activities and nostro account monitoring.
  • Contribute to cash flow reporting and liquidity-related operational activities.
Securities & Corporate Actions
  • Support settlement activities for Fixed Income, Equities, and Repurchase Agreements.
  • Monitor settlement statuses and help resolve settlement exceptions.
  • Process and monitor corporate action events.
  • Coordinate with custodians and stakeholders regarding corporate action instructions and events.
Reconciliations & Controls
  • Assist with daily reconciliations of nostro, suspense, and depositary accounts.
  • Support operational control activities to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Help maintain accurate records and documentation.
  • Contribute to ongoing process improvement initiatives within the team

Who are we looking for?

You thrive in a collaborative, international environment and enjoy working closely with Front Office teams, counterparties, custodians and internal stakeholders. Open-minded and naturally curious, you are passionate about developing your knowledge of Treasury and financial markets and are not afraid to ask the how and why behind processes. You take ownership of your work, think proactively and stay one step ahead, identifying issues and working with internal and external stakeholders to find practical solutions. You are comfortable managing multiple priorities and meeting tight deadlines while maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail. As a cooperative team player, you listen, share knowledge and invest in strong working relationships to achieve common goals. You are comfortable navigating a fast-changing and complex environment, think beyond established ways of working and look for opportunities to improve how things are done. Whether you are a recent graduate or already have some experience in financial services, you are eager to develop your expertise across FX, Money Market, Securities and Derivative products and build your career in Treasury Operations.

Skills/Qualifications:
  • Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, Banking or a related field.
  • Treasury & Financial Markets Interest: Strong interest in Treasury, financial markets, Capital Markets and banking operations, with the motivation to develop specialist knowledge in these areas.
  • Treasury Products: Interest in or initial knowledge of Foreign Exchange (FX), Money Market, Fixed Income, Securities, Derivatives and Repurchase Agreements (Repos).
  • Trade Lifecycle: Understanding of, or willingness to learn, the end-to-end Treasury transaction lifecycle, including trade capture, validation, confirmation, matching, settlement and reconciliation.
  • Settlements & Payments: Interest in developing knowledge of settlement processes, payment flows, Standard Settlement Instructions (SSIs) and nostro accounts.

Preferred Experience:

  • 0–3 years of experience in Treasury Operations, Capital Markets Operations, Banking Operations, Securities Operations, Payments or another relevant financial-services environment.
  • Recent graduates with a strong academic background and demonstrated interest in Treasury and financial markets are also encouraged to apply.
  • Initial exposure to FX, Money Market, Securities, Fixed Income, Derivatives or Repo transactions is an advantage.
  • Familiarity with trade settlement, reconciliations, cash management, corporate actions or nostro monitoring is beneficial.
  • Exposure to SWIFT messaging, Treasury Management Systems, settlement platforms, custodians or financial-market infrastructure is considered an advantage.
  • Experience or interest in process improvement and automation within financial operations is desirable.

Personal Competences:

  • Analytical & Problem-Solving Skills: Able to analyse information, identify issues and work systematically towards practical solutions.
  • Stakeholder Management: Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with Front Office, counterparties, custodians and internal stakeholders.
  • Operational Excellence: Accurate, structured and quality-focused, with the ability to work effectively within deadlines and manage multiple priorities.
