Associate Manager, Energy Logistics Operations EMEA

What to Expect Tesla is on a mission to accelerate the world's transition to sustainable energy, and our Energy business is central to it. As Associate Manager, Energy Logistics Operations, you own the day-to-day logistics for Tesla's energy products across EMEA – Supercharging hardware, Powerwall and residential energy storage, and battery logistics – leading a team of coordinators and specialists. You are accountable for the reliable, compliant and cost-effective flow of energy goods from origin to installer, site or customer, across all transport modes.

You operate within the strategy, KPI framework, carrier network and systems owned by the Senior Manager Logistics – managing capacity, cost and delivery performance, keeping the operation fully compliant with dangerous-goods regulations for lithium batteries, and continuously improving execution within that framework.

What You'll Do****Operations execution

• Own the daily flow of energy products across EMEA – Supercharging hardware (cabinets, posts, cabling), Powerwall / residential storage and battery movements – inbound, outbound and last-mile to installers, sites and customers.
• Manage all transport modes for energy flows (LTL, FTL, parcel, air, ocean), securing and optimising capacity for fluctuating project and demand volumes.
• Coordinate Supercharger site deliveries with Construction and Deployment – sequencing, scheduling and ETA accuracy so hardware arrives when the site is ready.
• Manage Powerwall and e-commerce fulfilment – order-to-delivery flow, installer / last-mile scheduling and delivery experience.
• Own reverse logistics for energy products – returns, redeployments and the routing of defective / damaged batteries.

Dangerous goods & compliance

• Keep all battery and energy-storage movements fully compliant with lithium-battery dangerous-goods regulations (ADR, IATA, IMDG / RID; UN3480 / 3481), including damaged, defective and recalled (DDR) handling.
• Ensure customs and trade compliance for cross-border energy shipments across EMEA.
• Maintain packaging, labelling, documentation and carrier-approval standards for hazardous goods; work with the Dangerous Goods Safety Advisor (DGSA) and Quality on incidents and corrective actions.

Carrier & cost management

• Manage day-to-day carrier performance for the energy network – allocation, tendering support and holding carriers to SLA – within the strategy owned by the Senior Manager.
• Monitor and report cost, capacity and risk; drive cost-per-shipment and lead-time improvements within your scope.

KPIs & continuous improvement

• Own the operational KPIs for energy logistics (OTD, OTIF, lead time, cost per shipment, DG compliance, damage rate) using the provided framework and dashboards, and act on deviations.
• Develop and maintain SOPs for energy logistics in existing and new EMEA markets; standardise and continuously improve execution.
• Provide operational requirements into system development (TMS / WMS) to improve tools and automate workflows (owned by the Systems function).

Leadership & collaboration

• Lead, coach and develop the team of energy logistics coordinators / specialists – workload, training, performance and development.
• Partner across functions – Energy Sales & Deployment, Powerwall / e-commerce, Service, Warehousing, Demand Planning, Customs and Systems / Analytics – to align priorities and keep a seamless end-to-end flow.
• Manage escalations and lead cross-functional operational projects within energy logistics to a defined outcome. What You'll Bring* 5+ years in logistics / transportation operations (energy, automotive, industrial or e-commerce), including leading a team or coordinators.
• Hands-on experience across multi-modal transport (LTL, FTL, parcel, air, ocean) and last-mile / project deliveries.
• Solid working knowledge of lithium-battery dangerous-goods regulations (ADR, IATA, IMDG / RID) – packaging, documentation and DDR handling.
• Strong analytical and process skills; proficient with TMS / WMS and ERP systems and comfortable working from data and KPIs.
• Experience managing carrier performance and cost within a defined network / framework.
• University degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Industrial / Business Engineering or equivalent through experience.
• Fluent in English; Dutch, German or another EMEA language is an advantage.
• Valid driving license and willingness to travel up to 30% (Tesla sites and carrier partners).

Preferred

• Familiarity with Tesla Energy products (Supercharger, Powerwall, Megapack) or comparable battery / energy-storage logistics.
• Experience with e-commerce logistics platforms and reverse logistics.
• Certified dangerous-goods training (e.g. ADR / IATA CAT 6).
