Job description

  • Support the IT Supervisor/Manager with the installation, maintenance, and operation of hotel IT hardware and software.

  • Provide first- and second-level support for PCs, peripherals, software, mobile devices, and telecommunications systems.

  • Manage and maintain CCTV systems and assist with IT security and technology asset management.

  • Troubleshoot hardware, software, network, Wi-Fi, Internet, and IP telephony issues, escalating complex problems when required.

  • Install and configure desktops, applications, patches, peripherals, and network drives; perform PC moves, additions, and changes.

  • Monitor daily backups, system interfaces, servers, hardware, and system logs.

  • Maintain accurate IT asset inventories, hardware records, service-call logs, and sufficient stock of IT supplies.

  • Install and test approved software and system updates across hotel IT systems.

  • Coordinate and supervise third-party IT contractors and service providers.

  • Support telecommunications equipment, structured cabling, and related technical requirements.

  • Provide support for hotel hospitality systems such as Opera, Micros, Fidelio, SunSystems, Oasys, and other approved applications.

  • Handle IT-related phone enquiries and provide friendly, professional support to all users.

  • Follow Rixos policies, procedures, brand standards, security requirements, and appearance and hygiene guidelines.

  • Demonstrate a professional attitude and consistently deliver courteous and efficient IT support.

  • Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.

  • 1–2 years of experience in IT support, preferably within the hospitality industry.

  • Good knowledge of computer hardware, software, Windows, networking, LAN/Wi-Fi, and IP telephony.

  • Basic understanding of CCTV, telecommunications, data communication, and IT security.

  • Familiarity with hospitality systems such as Opera, Micros, Fidelio, SunSystems, and Oasys is an advantage.

  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

  • Good communication and customer-service skills.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

  • Good organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
