Junior Automation Specialist

About the role The Junior Automation Specialist position exists to improve how data and information move through our internal systems and client mandates. As we support a major Dubai-based partner on their governance and operating models, this role ensures our workflows are as precise and efficient as possible. You will help translate business requirements into simple, automated steps that reduce manual errors and save time for our principals.

A board facing a succession question or a family group weighing a capital injection does not need a team of twelve associates and a hundred page methodology deck. They need experienced partners who can sit with a problem, form a rigorous view, and defend it. We take on a limited number of mandates to ensure that every client receives direct attention from the principals who are actually accountable for the outcome. Our work covers corporate strategy, governance, and operating model efficiency for some of the most significant family groups, listed corporations, and government entities in the region. We operate as a remote firm, choosing to prioritize the quality of our analysis over traditional office overhead.

What you will do

• Analyze existing manual processes within the firm and for our Dubai-based partner project to identify areas where simple automation can improve output.
• Research and test low-code or no-code automation tools to support portfolio clarity and data reporting.
• Build and maintain basic scripts or workflows that connect different software platforms used in our daily mandates.
• Draft clear documentation for all automated processes so that principals and clients can understand the logic behind them.
• Collaborate with the broader team to ensure that automation aligns with the operating model we are building for our clients.
• Monitor system performance and address any technical roadblocks that occur during data transfers.
• Participate in team reviews where we form a view on new technology adoptions for the firm.
• Support the presentation of technical findings to non-technical partners in a clear and direct manner.

What we are looking for

• A strong foundation in logical reasoning and the ability to break down a complex task into sequential steps.
• Basic familiarity with common automation tools or a willingness to learn how different software applications communicate through APIs.
• Clear and precise writing skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts without using unnecessary jargon.
• A curious mindset that questions why a manual process exists and looks for a simpler way to achieve the same result.
• High attention to detail, ensuring that data remains accurate when moving between different systems.
• The ability to work independently in a fully remote setting while staying aligned with the overall goals of a mandate.
