Are you looking for a unique HR opportunity to strengthen your expertise in an international environment? At Fresh Solutions Netherlands (part of Greenyard Group), we are looking for a People & Culture Business Partner in Waddinxveen. You will consult and support the managers of assigned departments in all HR-related topics and also serve as a direct contact person for employees in non-operational HR-related questions in order to offer an optimal support in alignment with the HR policies, processes and guidelines and the development of the employees. Your role as People & Culture Business Partner

In this role, you will act as a trusted People & Culture Business Partner for managers and employees in Waddinxveen, providing first-line support across the full employee lifecycle. You will advise and support line managers on team objectives, HR key performance indicators, recruitment, talent development, performance management, employee relations, personnel administration and questions related to Dutch labor law. In addition, you will implement and communicate People & Culture policies in line with global and local guidelines, contribute to cross-border HR projects and continuously improve HR processes and practices. By staying up to date with relevant HR developments, you ensure professional, compliant and future-oriented support for the organisation.

You will be part of the People & Culture team in Waddinxveen, working closely with the Team Lead People & Culture, two People & Culture Specialists and a People & Culture Officer. Together, the team combines different areas of expertise to provide a broad and professional People & Culture service to the organisation. You will report directly to the Team Lead People & Culture.

Key responsibilities

  • Act as a trusted People & Culture Business Partner for management, line managers and employees across two assigned departments, taking responsibility for first-line work relations and providing reliable support across the organization.
  • Advise and support managers in defining team objectives, translating organizational goals into relevant HR priorities and implementing People & Culture key performance indicators.
  • Implement, communicate and monitor People & Culture policies, processes and guidelines in line with global and local requirements, acting as a contact person for related questions.
  • Actively participate in cross-border People & Culture projects and contribute to the continuous evaluation, optimization and innovation of HR practices.
  • Support line managers and branches in managing staffing levels and workforce planning, ensuring the right people are in the right roles and operational needs are met effectively. Where needed, support with recruitment and selection processes may also be expected.
  • Support personnel administration and advise managers and employees on questions related to Dutch labor law, internal regulations and compliant HR administration.
  • Coordinate and manage external service providers supporting recruitment, legal topics, payroll, compensation and benefits, training and development in line with business needs.
  • Stay up to date with HR trends, legal developments and best practices to provide credible, professional and future-oriented People & Culture support.

What you bring to the team

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a comparable professional education in a related field.
  • Relevant experience in an HR role for several years, preferably in an HR Business Partner, HR Advisor or similar position.
  • Good understanding of HR processes and the employee lifecycle, with the ability to provide practical support and advice to managers and employees.
  • Experience with HR projects and an interest in contributing to the development and implementation of HR policies and processes.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with colleagues across departments and cultures; a collaborative mindset.
  • Solid knowledge of Dutch labor law, collective labor agreements (CLAs), and experience in managing external HR service providers.
  • Fluency in English and Dutch, both written and spoken, additional language skills (e.g. German) are a plus.
  • Experience in working with AI, digital tools and process automation is a plus.
  • Good working knowledge in Microsoft Office 365, especially Excel, Word and PowerPoint. Experience with ADP or WorkDay is a plus.
