Senior Software Engineer (Android)

We are looking for a highly talented Senior Android Engineer to join the team in Riyadh. You will be working on:

• Keep abreast of the latest software development methodologies in order to be able to provide best-in-class software solutions

• Analyze product requirements in order to understand engineering requirements, evaluate the technical feasibility, estimate efforts, and provide the required solutions in collaboration with the Product Team

• Assist in building development components and managing the programming of the different solution components in order to transform the requirements into actual working software accurately

• Document all coding steps in order to ensure comprehensibility and facilitate future modifications and maintenance

• Responsible for writing unit, integration, and UI / Snapshot testing.

• Investigate and resolve issues and bugs through patches and other means

• Collaborate with other colleagues in order to assist each other in code reviews and deliver code review reports accordingly

• Perform functional and module testing in order to ensure the functionality of delivered solutions

• Monitor evaluate and report on product development and recommend improvements where necessary

• Assist in user trials and acceptance testing

• 5+ years of software development experience, with a strong foundation in design patterns and algorithms (Kotlin preferred, Java background accepted).

• Technology-agnostic mindset with deep expertise in native Android development.

• Hands-on experience delivering high-quality, testable code using modern mobile architectures.

• In-depth understanding of the Android lifecycle (Activities, Fragments) and practical experience with Agile frameworks (Scrum/Kanban).

• Engineering excellence-a proven track record of driving significant impact on complex, non-trivial systems. Open-source contributions and technical publications are a strong plus.

• Execution-driven mindset with strong project prioritization, multi-tasking abilities, and mastery of version control tools (Git).

• Deep familiarity with Modern Android Development (MAD) practices and toolkits, including ViewModel, LiveData, Paging, Navigation, SafeArgs, Retrofit2, RxJava2, and multi-module Dagger2 setups.

• Passion for elegant design and architectural modularization; experience with native iOS or Flutter is highly desirable.

• Solid understanding of modular app architecture principles and CI/CD pipelines.

• Ability to design and implement maintainable, scalable new modules.

• Familiarity with AI tools, APIs, and machine learning integration within mobile applications.

• Cross-platform versatility with hands-on experience in both Android and iOS ecosystems.

• Nice to Have: Experience with Firebase, Google Maps API, Fastlane automation, and the Checkout.com SDK.
