VP Strategic Finance (all genders)

Evotec is seeking a highly strategic and communications-focused VP Strategic Finance to lead the development and delivery of the company's financial narratives, executive communications, and presentation strategy. This role serves as a key partner to the CFO, Executive Leadership Team, Investor Relations, FP&A, and Corporate Communications functions, ensuring that complex financial and strategic information is transformed into clear, compelling, and impactful messaging for both internal and external audiences.

The VP will be responsible for overseeing financial communications related to earnings releases, capital markets activities, investor presentations, Board materials, annual reporting, strategic initiatives, and executive communication programs. The role requires exceptional financial acumen, storytelling capabilities, and executive presence, with the ability to translate complex business performance and strategic developments into engaging narratives that strengthen stakeholder understanding and confidence.

This is a senior leadership position within the Global Finance organization, reporting to the SVP Head of FP&A and Transformation.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the development of Evotec's financial narrative and communication strategy, ensuring consistency, clarity, and alignment across all financial communications. 

• Partner closely with the CFO, Executive Leadership Team, Investor Relations, FP&A, Corporate Communications, and Strategy teams to communicate the company's business performance, strategic priorities, and value creation story. 

• Own the preparation and coordination of key external financial communication materials, including earnings presentations, investor presentations, capital markets events, annual reports, shareholder communications, and analyst materials. 

• Develop compelling executive presentations for Board meetings, Supervisory Board meetings, strategy reviews, investor events, industry conferences, and leadership forums. 

• Translate complex financial, operational, and strategic information into concise and impactful messages tailored to different stakeholder groups. 

• Ensure consistency of messaging across financial reporting, investor communications, corporate presentations, and strategic business updates. 

• Partner with FP&A and business leaders to transform financial results, forecasts, and strategic plans into executive-ready presentations and communication materials. 

• Support communications related to strategic initiatives, business transformations, acquisitions, partnerships, restructuring programs, and other major corporate events. 

• Establish best practices for executive presentations and financial storytelling across the organization, driving high standards of quality, consistency, and visual impact. 

• Lead the development of presentation templates, communication frameworks, and reporting formats that enhance stakeholder engagement and decision-making. 

• Serve as a trusted advisor to senior executives on presentation effectiveness, executive messaging, stakeholder engagement, and communication strategy. 

• Collaborate with Corporate Communications and Investor Relations teams to ensure alignment between financial, strategic, and corporate messaging. 

Qualifications

• University degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, Communications, or a related discipline; MBA or other advanced qualification preferred. 

• Significant experience in Investor Relations, Corporate Finance, FP&A, Strategy, Management Consulting, Corporate Communications, or a related field. 

• Strong understanding of financial reporting, financial markets, corporate performance management, and investor expectations. 

• Proven ability to develop compelling executive presentations and communicate complex financial information in a clear and engaging manner. 

• Exceptional storytelling, written communication, presentation design, and executive communication skills. 

• Experience supporting senior executives, boards of directors, investors, analysts, and external stakeholders. 

• Strong analytical capabilities with the ability to synthesize large amounts of information into concise strategic messages. 

• Advanced PowerPoint and executive presentation development skills with a strong eye for visual communication and design. 

• Ability to work effectively across multiple functions and influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization. 

• Experience operating in an international, publicly listed, or highly regulated organization is strongly preferred. 

• Excellent English communication skills (written and verbal); additional languages are considered an advantage. 

• International mindset with experience working across cultures, geographies, and complex matrix organizations.
