Job Description
We are looking for an experienced IT & Security Systems Support Engineer to manage and maintain the company's IT infrastructure, network systems, CCTV and security systems, SIRA-related requirements, computer systems, printers, structured cabling, and day-to-day technical support.
The ideal candidate should have strong hands-on experience in IT support, networking, CCTV/security systems, SIRA requirements and portal operations, hardware troubleshooting, printer management, structured cabling, and system configuration.
The candidate will be responsible for ensuring that the company's IT and security infrastructure remains operational, secure, properly configured, and well maintained.
Key Responsibilities1. IT Support & Technical Troubleshooting
- Provide day-to-day technical support to employees and company users.
- Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, operating system, and application-related issues.
- Install, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot desktop computers, laptops, monitors, and other IT equipment.
- Configure Windows operating systems and standard business applications.
- Troubleshoot user login, connectivity, software, email, and system access issues.
- Install and configure new computers and IT equipment.
- Maintain IT assets and equipment records.
- Provide remote and onsite technical support when required.
- Escalate complex issues to vendors or specialized technical teams when necessary.
2. Network Administration & Troubleshooting
- Install, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot LAN/WAN network infrastructure.
- Configure and troubleshoot switches, routers, access points, and other network equipment.
- Troubleshoot network connectivity, IP addressing, DNS, DHCP, and related issues.
- Configure and maintain Wi-Fi networks.
- Monitor network performance and identify connectivity problems.
- Troubleshoot internet and internal network connectivity.
- Assist with network expansion and infrastructure upgrades.
- Maintain proper network documentation and equipment information.
- Coordinate with internet/service providers when required.
3. CCTV & Security Systems
- Install, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot CCTV systems.
- Configure IP cameras, NVRs, DVRs, and surveillance systems.
- Configure camera IP addresses and network connectivity.
- Troubleshoot camera connectivity, recording, storage, and playback issues.
- Configure CCTV viewing stations and authorized remote access.
- Monitor CCTV system health and ensure cameras are operational.
- Replace or troubleshoot faulty cameras, storage devices, network equipment, and related hardware.
- Maintain CCTV system documentation and camera location records.
- Coordinate with CCTV/security-system vendors when required.
- Ensure CCTV systems are maintained according to applicable company and regulatory requirements.
4. SIRA Requirements & SIRA Portal
- Maintain practical knowledge of applicable SIRA security system requirements and procedures.
- Manage and understand the company's SIRA portal and related processes.
- Handle SIRA-related system submissions, registrations, updates, and documentation as assigned.
- Maintain records of SIRA-related approvals, certificates, system information, and required documentation.
- Coordinate with SIRA-approved security system contractors/vendors when required.
- Support CCTV/security-system compliance requirements.
- Follow up on SIRA-related technical requirements and renewals.
- Assist management with SIRA-related technical documentation and system information.
- Ensure security-system installations and modifications are properly documented for applicable SIRA requirements.
5. Structured Cabling & Physical IT Infrastructure
- Manage and maintain structured network cabling infrastructure.
- Install and troubleshoot LAN/network cables.
- Work with Cat5e/Cat6/Cat6A and related structured cabling systems.
- Identify and resolve cable faults and connectivity problems.
- Manage patch panels, network racks, switches, and cable organization.
- Ensure proper cable labeling and documentation.
- Maintain organized server/network racks.
- Coordinate network points, data outlets, and equipment connections.
- Supervise or coordinate third-party cabling contractors when required.
- Assist with office/building network infrastructure installations.
6. Printers & Peripheral Devices
- Install and configure network and local printers.
- Troubleshoot printer hardware, connectivity, driver, and printing issues.
- Configure printers for multiple users.
- Manage printer IP addresses and network connectivity.
- Troubleshoot scanners, barcode devices, UPS systems, monitors, and other IT peripherals.
- Coordinate with printer/service vendors for major repairs and maintenance.
7. Servers & IT Infrastructure
- Provide basic administration and troubleshooting support for company servers.
- Monitor server availability and basic system performance.
- Troubleshoot network and connectivity issues affecting servers.
- Assist with backup systems and basic backup monitoring.
- Maintain server room/network room organization.
- Monitor UPS, network equipment, and other infrastructure where applicable.
- Coordinate with external IT vendors or system administrators for advanced server issues.
8. User Accounts & Access
- Create and manage user accounts according to company procedures.
- Configure workstation access and permissions.
- Assist with Microsoft 365/email-related technical issues where applicable.
- Manage access to printers, network resources, and shared folders.
- Disable or remove access when employees leave the company according to company procedures.
- Follow company IT security policies when granting access.
9. IT Security & Maintenance
- Maintain basic endpoint and network security.
- Ensure computers have required security updates and antivirus/endpoint protection.
- Identify suspicious technical activity and report security concerns.
- Maintain secure configurations of network and CCTV equipment.
- Follow company policies for passwords, access, backups, and data protection.
- Ensure unauthorized users do not gain access to company systems or security infrastructure.
10. Preventive Maintenance
- Perform regular checks of IT infrastructure and equipment.
- Identify potential failures before they affect business operations.
- Maintain preventive maintenance schedules.
- Check computers, network equipment, CCTV systems, printers, UPS systems, and related infrastructure.
- Maintain records of maintenance activities and equipment issues.
- Recommend replacement of outdated or unreliable equipment when necessary.
11. Vendor & Contractor Coordination
- Coordinate with IT, internet, CCTV, printer, security-system, and network vendors.
- Follow up on service calls and technical issues.
- Verify completed technical work.
- Assist in obtaining quotations for IT/security equipment when required.
- Ensure vendors follow agreed technical requirements.
- Maintain records of vendor contacts, equipment, warranties, and maintenance contracts.
12. Documentation & Asset Management
- Maintain an updated IT asset inventory.
- Maintain records of computers, laptops, printers, network equipment, CCTV equipment, and other IT assets.
- Maintain network diagrams where applicable.
- Maintain CCTV camera lists and locations.
- Maintain IP address and network equipment records.
- Document major configurations and infrastructure changes.
- Maintain SIRA-related technical documentation.
- Keep records of warranties, service agreements, and equipment replacements.

Mandatory:
- Valid/current SIRA-related certification/approval appropriate to the role.
- Practical experience working with SIRA requirements.
- Practical understanding of the SIRA portal and related processes.
- Experience handling CCTV/security-system-related documentation and requirements.
- Experience coordinating SIRA-related technical activities with approved contractors/vendors.
Candidates without relevant practical SIRA experience may not be suitable for this position.
