Junior Master Planner

In every role, McCainers are ambitious, curious, and passionate about creating exceptional work experiences - together. With a customer-first mindset, we make doing business with McCain easy.

About the role.

As a Junior Master Planner within the Snacking Supply Chain team, you will act as the critical link between demand forecasting and manufacturing, helping ensure product availability and service excellence across our international customer network. You will partner closely with our Appetizers manufacturing sites in Rilland, Kruiningen, and Hull to develop and maintain optimized supply plans that balance inventory, capacity, and network efficiency.

In this role, you will contribute to strategic and tactical supply chain decision-making, proactively identify opportunities and constraints, and support continuous improvement initiatives across the manufacturing network. You will also support logistics operations to ensure products reach customers through the correct logistics flow and participate in key supply chain projects that drive operational excellence.

What you’ll be doing.

  • Create and maintain master production schedules for assigned Appetizers manufacturing sites, ensuring optimal utilization of available capacity.
  • Identify and analyze capacity bottlenecks, providing data-driven insights and recommendations.
  • Contribute to and support the S&OP process through analysis, scenario planning, and stakeholder alignment.
  • Define, monitor, and improve stock strategies to achieve supply chain performance targets.
  • Manage inventory levels while balancing customer service, cost, and operational efficiency objectives.
  • Drive initiatives focused on supply chain optimization, capacity utilization improvements, and cost efficiencies.
  • Contribute to cross-functional supply chain and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Optimize planning tools, processes, and reporting capabilities to improve operational effectiveness.
  • Support logistics operations to ensure the produced product reaches customers through the correct logistics flow.
  • Participate in and, where appropriate, lead key business and supply chain projects that drive operational and strategic improvements.

What you’ll need to be successful.

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent level of education and mindset.
  • Experience in production planning, scheduling, or supply planning within a dynamic manufacturing or consumer-driven environment is preferred. (Experience as an intern can be meaningful as well)
  • Strong analytical capabilities with the ability to identify challenges, evaluate solutions, and influence decision-making.
  • Knowledge of modern supply planning methodologies, systems, and best practices.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to collaborate across functions and challenge constructively when needed.
  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills; experience with SAP IBP is highly preferred.
  • A continuous improvement mindset with a passion for learning, simplification, and operational excellence.

About the team.

You will join a close-knit Snacking Supply Chain team of approximately eight colleagues, collaborating daily with site supply chain teams, manufacturing, demand planning, customer operations, and supply planning colleagues across the Appetizers network. This role requires regular interaction with multiple stakeholders and includes travel to manufacturing sites within scope.

What we offer.

  • Annual contract with the intention of transitioning to a permanent contract.
  • Competitive salary ranging from €4,000 to €4,600 per month, depending on education and experience.
  • 25 vacation days plus 15 additional ATV days, with the option to convert ATV days into additional salary,
  • 3% year-end bonus.
  • Discount on CZ health insurance for you and your family.
  • Opportunities for professional development through training and educational programs.
  • A collaborative and dynamic international supply chain environment.
  • Hybrid working opportunities in line with McCain policies (60/40)
