Job description
About The Company Wayve is at the forefront of autonomous driving technology, specializing in Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) engineering. Our teams develop perception and intelligence systems that enable vehicles to navigate and interpret their environment in real-world conditions. We are committed to building innovative solutions that enhance safety, reliability, and efficiency in autonomous driving. With a focus on end-to-end development, we integrate high-quality data creation, computer vision, and 3D perception models to deliver impactful products. Our collaborative environment fosters innovation, continuous learning, and a passion for transforming mobility through cutting-edge AI and machine learning technologies.
About The Role We are seeking a talented and motivated Computer Vision and 3D Perception Engineer to join our ADAS engineering team. In this role, you will be responsible for training, debugging, and enhancing perception models that power driver assistance features. You will work across the entire machine learning lifecycle, from data collection and processing to model training, evaluation, and iteration. A key aspect of your role will involve developing scalable data pipelines, including auto-labeling and pseudo-labeling techniques, to accelerate model development and improve system performance. Your contributions will directly impact the accuracy and robustness of core perception capabilities such as object detection, classification, lane detection, and traffic sign recognition, both for online in-car applications and offline data analysis. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on real-world problems, collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams, and contribute to the future of autonomous driving technology.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Robotics, or a related field
- Proven experience in building and deploying computer vision deep learning systems
- Strong understanding of 3D perception concepts, including LiDAR processing, multi-view geometry, tracking, and 3D reconstruction
- Hands-on experience with machine learning frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, or similar
- Experience with data pipeline development, auto-labeling, and pseudo-labeling techniques
- Demonstrated ability to own projects end-to-end, from data collection to model evaluation and deployment
- Practical knowledge of evaluation metrics and performance optimization for real-time systems
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under real product constraints
- Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary team
Responsibilities
- Train, debug, and improve computer vision and 3D perception models for ADAS applications
- Develop and maintain scalable data pipelines, including auto-labeling and pseudo-labeling workflows
- Contribute to the development of core perception capabilities such as detection, classification, and instance segmentation
- Work on offline pipelines like tracking and 3D reconstruction to enhance data quality and coverage
- Evaluate model performance using clear metrics and iterate to address system underperformance
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to prioritize tasks based on system performance and product needs
- Implement solutions that meet real-world constraints for in-car latency and compute limitations
- Participate in continuous learning, research, and development to stay updated with the latest advancements in perception and autonomous driving
Benefits
- Competitive annual salaries benchmarked against market standards
- Meaningful equity options, sharing in the ownership and success of Wayve
- Relocation support and visa sponsorship where applicable
- Hybrid working model combining in-office collaboration and remote work flexibility
- Core working hours to support work-life balance
