Security Engineer

Experience: 4–7 Years

Employment Type: Full-Time

Location: Dubai, UAE

We are seeking a Security Engineer with 4–7 years of experience in security monitoring, incident response, threat analysis, malware analysis, and detection engineering. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience investigating advanced threats, developing detection capabilities, and conducting proactive threat hunting.

Key Responsibilities

Security Monitoring & Incident Response

  • Monitor SIEM, EDR, NDR , and other security tools for suspicious activity.
  • Perform incident triage, investigation, containment, eradication, and recovery .
  • Correlate network, endpoint, cloud, and application logs to identify malicious behavior.
  • Develop and tune SIEM use cases and detection rules to reduce false positives.
  • Support digital forensics and post-incident analysis.
  • Maintain incident documentation and reporting in line with regulatory requirements.
  • Coordinate with internal teams and external stakeholders during security incidents.

Threat & Intrusion Analysis

  • Analyze network telemetry, endpoint logs, and threat intelligence to identify intrusion attempts.
  • Correlate IOCs and TTPs with known threat actor campaigns.
  • Provide threat context, attribution insights, and intelligence support.
  • Develop detection logic using Sigma, Snort, YARA , and custom scripts.
  • Conduct proactive threat hunting based on emerging threats and intelligence.

Malware Analysis & Reverse Engineering

  • Perform static and dynamic malware analysis using Ghidra, IDA Pro, x64dbg, and Cuckoo Sandbox .
  • Reverse engineer binaries and scripts to identify payloads, persistence techniques, and C2 infrastructure .
  • Develop YARA rules and behavioral signatures for malware detection.
  • Maintain malware repositories and contribute to detection engineering improvements.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • 4–7 years of hands-on experience in cybersecurity, security engineering, SOC, or incident response.
  • Strong experience with SIEM, EDR, NDR, IDS/IPS, and threat intelligence .
  • Hands-on expertise in incident response, threat hunting, and malware analysis .
  • Proficiency with YARA, Sigma, Snort , and security scripting.
  • Experience with Ghidra, IDA Pro, x64dbg , or equivalent reverse-engineering tools.
  • Strong understanding of network security, Windows/Linux internals, malware behavior, and MITRE ATT&CK .
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, documentation, and communication skills.

Preferred Certifications

GCIH, GCIA, GCFA, GREM, GNFA, OSCP , or equivalent certifications are an advantage.
