Financial Planning and Analysis Manager

We are seeking an experienced FP&A Manager on behalf of our semi government client, based in Abu Dhabi to join their finance function on a 6-month contract.

This is a highly hands-on FP&A role within a complex, multi-entity environment, with responsibility for financial planning, forecasting, management reporting, performance analysis and supporting senior stakeholders with high-quality financial insight.

The successful candidate will have strong technical FP&A expertise, excellent reporting and presentation skills, and the ability to consolidate and interpret financial information across multiple entities and business areas.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead monthly, quarterly and annual FP&A reporting across multiple entities and business units.
• Consolidate financial information and provide clear analysis of actuals, budgets, forecasts and variances.
• Prepare high-quality management reporting packs, dashboards and financial presentations for senior stakeholders.
• Analyse financial and operational performance, identifying key trends, risks, opportunities and business drivers.
• Lead and support annual budgeting, forecasting and financial planning processes.
• Prepare detailed variance analysis, providing clear commentary and recommendations to management.
• Develop financial models and scenario analysis to support strategic and commercial decision-making.
• Analyse revenue, costs, margins and profitability across multiple business lines.
• Translate complex financial data into clear, commercially focused insights for senior management and non-finance stakeholders.
• Partner with business leaders to understand performance drivers and challenge assumptions within budgets and forecasts.
• Ensure consistency, accuracy and integrity of financial information across multiple entities.
• Prepare and deliver executive-level presentations covering financial performance, forecasts, risks and key business insights.
• Support senior stakeholders with ad-hoc financial analysis and decision support.
• Identify opportunities to improve FP&A processes, reporting quality and financial visibility.
• Work closely with Finance and operational teams to ensure reporting accurately reflects underlying business performance.

Requirements

• 8+ years of relevant finance experience, with strong experience in FP&A, financial planning, management reporting and analysis.
• Proven experience working within a complex, multi-entity organisation.
• Strong technical FP&A background with extensive experience in budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis and financial modelling.
• Demonstrable experience producing high-quality management reports and executive presentations.
• Excellent analytical and financial modelling skills, particularly in Excel.
• Strong ability to consolidate and interpret large volumes of financial and operational data.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with confidence presenting financial information to senior leadership.
• Commercially minded with the ability to translate financial data into clear business insights and recommendations.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with multiple reporting requirements and tight deadlines.
• Strong attention to detail combined with the ability to understand the wider commercial and operational impact of financial performance.
• Experience within infrastructure, utilities, energy, waste management, sustainability, transport or another complex asset-intensive environment would be advantageous.
• CIMA, ACCA, ACA, CPA or equivalent professional qualification is preferred.
