Senior Cloud Security Consultant

About the role

KPN’s ProTect team is looking for a Senior (Cloud) Security Consultant to advise business and DevOps teams on secure cloud implementations. You’ll translate CISO policies into practical solutions for 100+ teams and help elevate security practices with an outside-in perspective.

Key responsibilities

• Advise on secure cloud (AWS/Azure) migrations and workloads
• Secure Kubernetes, containers, and serverless environments
• Perform threat modelling and resolve security risks
• Analyse and fix cloud security misconfigurations
• Integrate security into CI/CD pipelines (DevSecOps)
• Implement solutions (IAM, WAF, hardening, endpoint security)
• Drive automation, templates, and scalable security practices

Your profile

• 5+ years in security consultancy
• 3+ years AWS & Azure security (4+ preferred)
• Strong in Kubernetes & container security
• Experience with CI/CD (e.g. GitHub pipelines)
• Communicative, proactive, and able to influence teams
• Fluent in English (Dutch is a plus)
• AWS Security Specialty is a strong plus

Work environment

• Amsterdam (hybrid, 2–3 days office, Thursday team day)
• Team of 7 specialists, working with 100+ DevOps teams

Offer

• Salary up to € 7.209,99 (40h) or freelance up to €103.50/hour
• Contract until the end of this year, with strong extension potential
