As we continue to expand our business, we are seeking a curious and passionate individual to join our team as Operations Controller (f/m/d) and drive our business forward. 

What Will Your Role Be

As an Operations Controller, you play a key role in managing and improving the financial and operational performance of our Production, Supply Chain, and Customer Service functions. You turn financial and operational data into meaningful insights, identify trends and cost drivers, and provide decision-relevant analyses to operational leaders and management.

In this role, you work closely with our production sites and operational teams, acting as a trusted sparring partner on performance, costs, planning, and business decisions. You combine strong controlling expertise with a hands-on approach to data and reporting in an international environment.

What You´ll Do 

Reporting & Performance Analysis

Develop, prepare, and continuously improve volume and performance reporting for Production, Supply Chain, and Customer Service

Provide reports, dashboards, and analyses to monitor operational performance, costs, and quality

Analyze monthly quality, complaint, and customer satisfaction data, identify trends, and derive actionable recommendations

Analyze shipping structures, shipping costs, and cost developments

Further develop the reporting landscape across BI and ERP environments

Act as a competent sparring partner for production and service locations on operational performance and business decisions

Month-End Closing & Cost Controlling

Analyze cost structures and developments and perform operational cost and performance controlling

Explain and challenge cost developments across Production, Shipping, and Customer Service as part of the monthly reporting process

Support operational month-end closing activities, particularly inventory valuations, provisions, and cost analyses

Calculate and review standard cost rates for direct costs and enrich transactional reporting data with margin information

Identify deviations and cost drivers and translate findings into relevant insights for operational stakeholders

Planning & Forecasting

Prepare budgets and forecasts for material, shipping, and labor costs (COGS) as well as fixed production costs

Develop seasonal forecasts and trend analyses for different operational areas

Prepare reliable cost and volume forecasts to support operational and strategic planning

Track budget initiatives and evaluate their impact and target achievement

Support operational teams in translating business and volume plans into meaningful financial and performance assumptions

What You´ll Bring

Degree in Business Administration, Finance, Controlling, or a comparable qualification

Professional experience in Controlling with a strong understanding of cost and performance management, forecasting, budgeting, and reporting

Ideally, experience in a production, supply chain, logistics, or customer service environment

Strong analytical skills and the ability to work confidently with large and complex datasets

Very good to advanced Excel skills, including confident use of formulas, lookups, pivot tables, and complex data analyses

Experience working with ERP systems; knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics 365 or comparable ERP solutions is an advantage

Experience with BI and reporting tools; knowledge of Power BI, LucaNet, MicroStrategy, Tableau, or comparable solutions is a plus

Strong business acumen and the ability to translate financial and operational data into actionable insights

Confident communication and stakeholder management skills, including the ability to challenge assumptions and present analyses and recommendations to senior stakeholders

Independent, structured, and hands-on working style

Fluent English; German language skills are an advantage
