Associate Director, Corporate and Institutional Banking (UAE National Role)

We are currently looking for an ambitious UAE National who can join our Corporate team as an Associate Director in Dubai. This role will support in acquiring, maintaining, and growing profitable long-term relationships with allocated UAE large corporate clients. The main responsibilities include supporting the relationship manager as primary point of contact for clients externally and clients internally for flow transactional elements with the client base, as well as working closely with relationship and product teams across the world. This role supports the senior staff to deepen client relationships and improve income generation through focused business development activities.

In this Role, you will:

o Support senior management in identifying strategies to maintain/enhance overall relationship return and ensure early identification of potential credit issues.

o Support the achievement against targets for revenue generation, product alignment, customer satisfaction and cost containment.

o Increase HSBC's share of wallet with our clients.

o Provide high quality industry sector, competitor, and client level analysis to support business development, portfolio management and credit risk assessment.

o Identify marketing opportunities, undertaking appropriate analysis and preparation of proposals, presentations and pitches for new products and services.

o Provide general support in servicing client relationships and enhancing income generation.

o Prepare briefing notes in advance of key client meetings.

o Act as primary point of contact for clients and internal colleagues.

o Work on the preparation of structured and focused application remarks for clients within the sectors, covering annual reviews and new money proposals.

o Complete review and submission of credit risk returns including limit excess/exception, security/documentation outstanding, monthly credit control reports etc.

o Understand and ensure compliance with all relevant internal and external rules, regulations and procedures that apply to the conduct of the business in which the jobholder is involved.

o Maintain HSBC internal control standards, including timely implementation of internal and external audit points together with any issues raised by external regulators.

To be successful in the role, you should meet the following requirements:

o Proven experience working in Corporate Banking or Financial Consultancies

o Strong credit underwriting, financial analysis, and credit writing capability.

o Analysis/Understanding of financial statements.• Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.• Multi-tasking, ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously (such as new financing/transactional tasks and the existing portfolio requests)

o Proven ability of using their initiative.

o Advanced computer and IT skills, including all Microsoft packages.

o Ability to prioritise workload effectively.

o Previous experience either managing or supporting a portfolio.

o A graduation degree is essential for obtaining a UAE visa and work permit. If your university certificate is from outside the UAE, up-to-date attestations and equivalency are also mandatory (Recognition of Higher Education Qualifications Issued Outside The UAE).
