A Housekeeping Supervisor at Waldorf Astoria Dubai International Financial Centre, a Forbes Five-Star luxury hotel, supports the delivery of exceptional guest experiences by maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness, presentation, and service. The role provides guidance to the Housekeeping team, ensures operational standards are consistently met, and promotes a culture of excellence aligned with True Waldorf Service.

What will I be doing?

As a Housekeeping Supervisor, you are responsible for supervising daily housekeeping operations and ensuring guest rooms, public areas, and service areas meet the highest standards of cleanliness, presentation, and quality. The role also supports team development and effective coordination across departments. Specifically, you will be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:

• Supervise and guide Housekeeping Attendants to ensure rooms, suites, and public areas meet hotel standards.
• Inspect guest rooms and public areas, complete required reports, and ensure accurate room status updates.
• Ensure clean and inspected rooms are communicated to Front Office and updated in the property management system.
• Assist Team Members with room cleaning and related tasks when required.
• Engage with guests throughout their stay and respond to requests, enquiries, and concerns promptly and professionally.
• Provide guests with accurate information regarding hotel services, facilities, and local attractions.
• Monitor guest room corridors, trolleys, service areas, and other housekeeping areas to ensure cleanliness and presentation standards are maintained.
• Coordinate with Engineering and Property Operations regarding maintenance requirements in guest rooms and public areas.
• Monitor turndown service and ensure all standards are consistently maintained.
• Prepare turndown reports and conduct effective shift briefings.
• Support quarterly linen inventories and maintain accurate inventory records.
• Conduct black-light inspections and other quality assurance checks as required.
• Maintain master keys, attendance records, and other departmental documentation in accordance with hotel procedures.
• Attend daily briefings and ensure relevant operational information is communicated to the team.
• Provide regular on-the-job training and coaching to ensure compliance with brand, Forbes Five-Star, and departmental standards.
• Support the smooth operation of the Housekeeping department during assigned shifts.
• Uphold True Waldorf Service, hotel policies, health and safety requirements, and all applicable brand standards.

• Previous experience in a Housekeeping Supervisor or similar supervisory role.

• Strong organisational and analytical skills with excellent attention to detail.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

• Passion for delivering exceptional levels of guest service.

• Excellent grooming and professional presentation standards.

• Good knowledge of housekeeping operations, cleanliness, and hygiene standards.

• Ability to lead, coach, and support Team Members effectively.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and relevant hotel systems.

• Knowledge of Forbes Five-Star and luxury hospitality standards. It would be advantageous in this position for you to demonstrate the following capabilities and distinctions:

• Previous experience in a Forbes Five-Star or luxury hotel.
