Job Description:
Join our Security Operation Engineering (SOE) team, the technical backbone of our Managed Security Services (MSS) department. In this role, you will lead technical customer onboardings, build CI/CD and SOAR automations, and maintain the reliability and performance of our Airbus Protect security platforms.

Infrastructure & Platform Operations: Ensure the reliable operation, performance, troubleshooting, and technical documentation of our own cloud and on-premise infrastructure as well as core applications (e.g., SOAR, ticketing systems)

Customer Onboarding & Integration: Coordinate and execute the technical implementation of customer onboardings, collaborating across teams to effectively integrate critical assets and data sources into our security monitoring platforms

Stakeholder & Application Support: Support the design and coordinate the integration of required internal stakeholder applications into our platforms to continuously enhance our MSSP services.

Technology Roadmap & R&D: Actively shape our technology roadmap by initiating and supporting R&D projects exploring emerging technologies, advanced analytics, and novel automation techniques

Hardening & Preventive Security: Collaborate with internal teams and customer stakeholders to recommend and implement preventive controls, thereby reducing the attack surface and hardening security postures

Process & Workflow Automation: Integrate modern automation approaches (including AI/LLM interfaces and CI/CD pipelines) to reduce manual effort and drive operational workflow efficiency

Assuming functional and/or project-related responsibilities within projects (e.g., technical project planning, subject matter ownership)
Required qualification:
The position requires knowledge and skills typically acquired through a relevant completed university degree with a standard duration of study of up to 4 years, combined with related advanced, subject-specific additional qualifications, OR through completed vocational training with correspondingly extensive, subject-specific additional qualifications. The overall required knowledge and experience may also have been acquired through alternative pathways
Required expertise and skills:

Advanced knowledge and experience in the areas of responsibility mentioned above
-
Strong hands-on experience with DevOps/DevSecOps practices, CI/CD pipelines (e.g., GitHub, Azure DevOps), Infrastructure as Code (e.g., Terraform, Ansible), and ticketing system management

Solid proficiency in programming/scripting languages (e.g., Python, PowerShell, Bash, Go, Rust) and working with REST APIs to connect disparate systems

Practical experience with SIEM, SOAR, and XDR platforms (e.g., Microsoft Sentinel, KQL, M365 Defender, Splunk) and familiarity with the SOC detection/response lifecycle and MITRE ATT&CK framework

Proven experience in securing Enterprise IT environments in practice (Windows/AD, Linux, Networking, and Cloud technologies)

Practical knowledge of AI / LLM fundamentals, local model deployment, and API integration to drive operational automation and workflow efficiencyRelevant security certifications (e.g., CISSP, CCSP, Azure Security/Architecture/DevOps/Developer, Splunk certifications) are a plus

Strong service-oriented mindset with the ability to act as a trusted security partner to external customers, translating business needs into technical actions and communicating complex topics clearly

Results-driven mentality with personal initiative to drive projects forward from concept to completion, navigating ambiguity effectively even when initial instructions are not fully defined

A curious and constructively challenging mindset, paired with exceptional analytical skills to solve complex problems under pressure

Fluent / very good business proficiency in both written and spoken English and German

Willingness for domestic and international business travel
This position may require a security clearance or will require being eligible for clearance by the recognized authorities.
