Job description

We are seeking an experienced Planning Manager  to join our team in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing construction planning, scheduling, and supervision activities to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong organizational skills, technical construction expertise, and the ability to lead and coordinate cross-functional teams in a fast-paced construction environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop, maintain, and update comprehensive project schedules using industry-standard planning software and methodologies

  • Supervise and coordinate construction activities on-site, ensuring compliance with project plans, specifications, and safety regulations

  • Monitor project progress against established timelines and budgets, identifying variances and implementing corrective actions

  • Prepare detailed progress reports and performance metrics for project stakeholders and management

  • Manage resource allocation, including labor, equipment, and materials, to optimize project efficiency

  • Conduct regular site inspections and meetings to ensure quality standards and adherence to construction specifications

  • Identify and analyze project risks, developing mitigation strategies to minimize delays and cost overruns

  • Collaborate with architects, engineers, contractors, and subcontractors to resolve planning conflicts and technical issues

  • Ensure compliance with UAE construction regulations, safety standards, and local building codes

  • Maintain accurate project documentation, including schedules, change orders, and correspondence

  • Provide technical guidance and support to site supervisors and construction teams

  • Analyze construction methodologies and recommend process improvements to enhance productivity

  • Minimum 18 years of experience in construction planning, scheduling, or project supervision

  • Proven expertise in construction planning software such as Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, or equivalent tools

  • Strong knowledge of construction methodologies, best practices, and industry standards

  • Demonstrated experience managing large-scale construction projects from planning through completion

  • Proficiency in budget management, cost control, and financial analysis

  • Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities

  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively communicate with diverse teams

  • Solid understanding of risk management and problem-solving in construction environments

  • Familiarity with UAE construction regulations, building codes, and local compliance requirements

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and data analysis tools
