Job Description Reporting to the Manager Development Engineering, you will be part of the R&D team developing next-generation Acoustic Wave based filters and modules. As a Design Engineer, you will contribute to the development of material systems, manufacturing technologies and computer-aided design and simulation tools for advanced microwave acoustics solutions and help develop our technologies for next-generation devices.

You will work with state-of-the-art computer-aided design and simulation tools to develop microwave acoustics components, as well as with various kinds of radio frequency (RF) test equipment to characterize these in the development process. Extensive collaboration across departments will be essential for your successful work.

This position will continuously expose you to the technological challenges in the development of high-performance, miniature microwave acoustic components as a key facilitator for today’s wireless communication systems. You will work in a dynamic team focusing on developing RF solutions with leading edge performance and will collaborate with various Engineering teams engaged in this multi-disciplinary process.

More details on the expectations and responsibilities in this position:

  • Contribution to and responsibility for projects focusing on development and improvement of next-generation acoustic-wave filter technologies and underlying design tools supporting high-performance microwave acoustic (SAW) components and integrated modules.
  • Contribution to cross-functional product and technology development projects to shape our next generation of acoustic wave product solutions.
  • Ability to contribute to and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Ability to develop basic software tools to support engineering projects.

Requirements/Qualifications Qualifications and Experience

  • Advanced degree (Master’s or PhD) in Electrical Engineering, Physics or comparable discipline.
  • Up to 5 years professional experience
  • Background / experience in RF engineering, i.e. EM- and circuit simulation tools (e.g. Keysight ADS) and measurement techniques.
  • Background in microwave acoustic technology (SAW / BAW) through professional or academic experience, preferably including Multiphysics modeling, is highly desirable.

Competencies

  • Programming experience in Matlab and/or other relevant technical programming languages.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills in German and English with ability to prepare and present technical data and documentation.
