Introduction
Would you like to work on technically complex electrical systems and contribute to the development of innovative high-voltage technology? As an Electrical / High Voltage Engineer , you will work on challenging engineering projects within high-tech, energy, power electronics, and innovative R&D environments.
You will be involved in the design, analysis, simulation, testing, and improvement of electrical systems and hardware. Depending on your expertise, your focus may include high-voltage systems, power electronics, high-frequency technology, electrical hardware, or power systems . You will work closely with engineers from different disciplines and have plenty of opportunity to take technical responsibility and ownership.
Your Responsibilities
You will be involved in various stages of the engineering process, from technical concept and design through integration, testing, and validation.
- Design and develop high-voltage systems, electrical hardware, and subsystems .
- Perform technical calculations, analyses, and simulations.
- Select and specify electrical components and systems.
- Design and review electrical schematics and system architectures.
- Analyze and solve technical challenges related to high voltage, high current, high frequency, EMC, thermal behavior, and electromagnetics .
- Simulate and optimize electrical systems using tools such as LTspice, MATLAB, ANSYS, COMSOL , or similar.
- Integrate, test, validate, and troubleshoot prototypes and electrical systems.
- Translate technical concepts and requirements into practical and feasible engineering solutions.
- Prepare technical specifications, documentation, and test plans.
- Ensure electrical safety, reliability, and compliance with relevant technical standards.
- Work closely with disciplines such as Electronics, Mechanics, Mechatronics, Software, and System Engineering .
- Depending on your experience, mentor other engineers and take technical responsibility within projects.

Your Profile
- A completed Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Power Engineering , or a comparable technical discipline.
- Several years of relevant experience within electrical engineering, hardware development, power engineering, or R&D.
- Experience with high-voltage systems, electrical hardware, power electronics, or complex electronic systems .
- Knowledge of one or more technical areas such as high voltage, high current, high frequency, power electronics, transformers, switchgear, analog/mixed-signal electronics, EMC, or electromagnetics .
- Experience with electrical simulation and engineering tools such as LTspice, MATLAB, ANSYS, COMSOL, Altium, KiCad , or similar is a strong advantage.
- Experience with prototyping, testing, troubleshooting, and/or system integration.
- Strong analytical and conceptual thinking skills combined with a practical engineering mindset.
- You enjoy solving complex technical challenges and take ownership of your designs and solutions.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary teams.
- Good command of English; proficiency in Dutch is considered an advantage.
Don't meet every requirement but have a strong background in Electrical Engineering, High Voltage, or Power Electronics ? We would still be happy to receive your application.
